www.pwtorch.com/artman2/publish/DEJExperienceDistrict/article_24884.shtml Let’s not go patting WWE on the back over suspending Jeff Hardy just weeks before WrestleMania. Yes they have seemingly stuck to their directive and suspended an independent contractor for failing a drug test. Yes they suspended an independent contractor who was being pushed for a top spot after WrestleMania. In all likelihood he would have been better positioned for WrestleMania if John Cena had not come back way ahead of schedule and steal his thunder. In fairness if Jeff Hardy had not become so hot maybe Chris Jericho would not have floundered but then maybe being paired with an out of shape JBL didn’t help as well. Anyway, Jeff Hardy screwed up. He failed a drug test for a company he is not actually an employee of. Sure he knows the rules and he failed to follow them for some reason. It hasn’t been made clear why he failed his test but being a confirmed meth addict in the past so a connection to recreational drugs remains and easy correlation. Addiction is a bitch of a thing and the wrestling lifestyle is not conducive to fighting demons outside the ring. It isn’t clear why WWE does not publish why the wrestler failed the test. Wouldn’t it be more amusing for the smartass Internet fans to base their jokes on? All right maybe that isn’t a good enough reason; maybe WWE should publish the results so others can learn from his mistakes? Sure some could take this as an opportunity to figure out ways around the system, in case they have not already, and that is a viable argument. Sure they have a big aversion to publishing the reasons for failure since congress still has her eyes on WWE. No not all of wrestling, just WWE. Dixie carters maneuvering and what not is nice but it really doesn’t matter. Let’s use fishing for an example. You don’t go fishing for minnows. You use em as bait while trying to get the big fish. TNA is the bait in this equation. Dixie did her part and allowed congress to swallow them and now with the bait swallowed…wait does this work? Damnit is this recording? This feels like being on an edition of The DEJ Experience. Screw it; TNA isn’t a big deal to the United States government. WWE is all they want to go after and a group that is one step above an independent promotion is interesting and laughable. So back to Jeff Hardy, man this really is like and edition of the show. Jeff’s test results being made public and WWE suspending him seems almost convenient. They needed a big get to show that their testing program, excuse me, wellness policy, is for real. There is no way they would take a star at the top of the heap that would really screw up their biggest event of the year. They needed a recognizable name and then make an example of them. Unfortunately Jeff fit the description. His history made him susceptible to foul play. He is the first and easiest scapegoat for WWE. Shawn Michaels could have been used as the scapegoat but his good standing inside the company prevents and action being taken against him. No one cares if Ken Kennedy gets suspended again. Really, he doesn’t have the history of drug use that Jeff and Shawn have. So planting a failed drug test on him wouldn’t have the same effect. It would have been easy seeing how he was in the Money in The bank match along with Jeff and it is the easiest match on the card to rebook. Could Jeff Hardy’s house burning down be retaliation by WWE? Did Jeff have is actual results inside his home? It sure seems very convenient. WWE sends Jeff home for sixty days and then his house goes up in flames. It claimed his dog as well. Could WWE have done this to make Jeff enter a rehab facility? Jeff could have refused and WWE went to drastic means to get him help. Without a home would Jeff be more open to treatment? Look, this is all just talk. There is no proof that WWE planned this out to get congress off their back. It just seems a tad convenient. It is what they call food for thought. This isn’t as farfetched as it seems as well. WWE has a history of covering up events they don’t like or needed to go away. He mid-nineties come to mind instantly. It is only fifteen years or so since some of those problems. Could this be a new WWE scandal or is it still the continuation of the Chris Benoit fiasco? Who can say? It sure makes for some good discussion and fun conspiracy theories though. How low can some people go most retarded thing ive ever read

Vince: we need to teach jeff a lesson.
Shane: Job him out
Steph: duck his pay
Vince: Nah, let's burn down his house. Tough love.
What's next? Have Kendrick killed for breaking the dress code?

The reason the specific drug for which a person failed is not published is because it's not WWE's place to do so. Simple as that.

I thought burning down the house was for the first strike. Wow, sorry to hear that happened to Jeff. When it rains, it pours.

Although my father hates watching him on TV because he wears nail polish, I hope he pulls through and I certainly hope he was smart enough to obtain insurance. Not that smart who doesn't have fire insurance WTF.

Liger died? I'm so sorry, jesus. Well, Liger died a while ago, about 2006. His dog Jack was the one who passed away in the fire.

Poor Jeff and Beth, very bad timing. Beth will stand by him through this not leave him been with him for years. Sounds like an enabler... I mean maybe if she did walk out it would be the kick in the ass he needs to sort himself out. So his girlfriend for years and years standing by him during a horrific time, instead of walking out on him and probably causing a serious mental breakdown, makes her an enabler?

If she's been with him for years and years, she was likely around the first time he got canned for using drugs in WWE. And she was likely with him when he drove everyone in TNA mad with his wild behaviour and rapmant drug use some time later. At some point, you have to either try and change the person or get out.

You can't MAKE an addict get help, they have to want it. And since I'm sure she loves him, she probably stuck around to keep an eye on him and make sure he didn't die. Right now is NOT the time to do 'tough love'.

The Torch is the worse of all the wrestling newsletters and sites. The people there are garbage. This further proves it. They didn't pull this article down due to being sorry and recognizing the error of their ways. They pulled it down due to negative feedback. This article fits with the mindset behind the Torch and the agendas people there have. There's no denying certain problems with the way WWE is, but they go over the top with their negativity. It's to the point where it's evident that the Torch writers have a vendetta and they simply use things like steroids, deaths, the Benoit tragedy, etc. cause they know it's good ammo to use against WWE.

Jeff Hardy sees his main event status go up in smoke... Who knows. As far as I'm concerned this only means his main event status for the 60 days has gone up in smoke. Others have been suspended and stayed in the lime-light/won the championship *cough* orton *cough*

Oh man that' s incrdibly stupid but at least it' s a great source of unintentional fun. Yeah, the WWE burns a wrestler' s house down to force them to go into rehab. Sure. And then people wonder why I don' t give the least bit of credit to news sites.
