Pay attention folks, this is a prime example of what not to say in threads like this. I wasnt making fun of the guy. He's got my condolences, and i feel horrible about what has happened. But i just remember internet rumours for years that he was gay, something involving the towel he used to wear in his back pocket, and the fact that the Hardy Stratus romance storyline was killed so fast....and the whole Rainbow Haired warrior thing.... Nope...not gay. Rumours at best. Not like it would matter if he was or wasn't, but as far as I am aware, the man is straight as an arrow.

I think it's kinda cool that he didn't have a mansion or anything like that. And the fact that he just used it as a huge canvas is just awesome. I think he's delightfully eccentric...a lot of what I love about Jeff comes from that.

All I can say is Holy Shit!
That really sucks. I wouldn't like it if my house burned and my turtle died. So glad that neither Jeff or his girlfriend weren't in the house.

He keeps taking bumps that a guy his age wouldn't be, dying his hair wacky colours, drugs, booze, and using his house as a sort of art canvas...etc Being a free spirit is great and all, but at some point you have to grow up .

I disagree. I seriously don't like the idea of "growing up"...I never will. I think it's silly. He seems like a great person, and that's all I really care about in this world. As far as what he does with his hair, what he does with his house, etc etc...it's all fine, and there's no reason he shouldn't do it.

Aren't a lot of paints very flammable? That might have had something to do with it.

Damn ... really feel for Jeff here. He's always been one of my top guys and I just can't believe the turn for the worst his career is taking. Wish him the best of luck.

Aren't a lot of paints very flammable? That might have had something to do with it. Maybe you are right. He might have forgotten to turn off a space heater before leaving for rehab and it could have set them off. Fortunately he not only should have saved up some money, but he has a brother who definitely can afford to help them get on their feet. The Hardy compound still will be a pretty cool place to live when he rebuilds. The loss of the dog and any sentimental items (a couple can pick up many over the course of a decade or so) are the real losses here.

Man, I really feel for Jeff and Beth right now. Poor guys... it's nice knowing he has a tight-knit family there for support though. Matt, Shannon, I believe their friend Jimbo is right there in the same area too. Still sucks to lose your house, and everything in it, though.

At least someone does. I always have and always will think the idea of "growing up" is silly, and honestly immature.

This is probably why I'm 28 and most of my friends are in the 18-23ish range.
