And I think people are able to distinguish between what is supposed to be comedy and what is supposed to be serious. I would have never taken Shark Boy seriously because he's not serious. If Kurt Angle or Christian came out with crutches, I'd suspend my disbelief and treat it as a genuine sell. Also, this is clearly a push for Shark Boy, which = good thing. Most people aren't willing to just turn it on and off within the same show.

The interview segments and editing of them were good. The only bad part was the commentary. the Camera work and production values were SO GOOD because it was New Japan doing all the production/camera work... really good show wrestling wise too.. This probably answers Lance's question about how Global Impact could be so great while the regular weekly episode could be so terrible.

Actually, and this is just me speaking, if Angle came out in crutches you know it would lead to bad comedy and then SURPRISE!!! IT WAS A SWERVE DON, NOBODY SAW THIS COMING!!! ANGLE WAS FAKING IT, HE JUST HIT (random wrestler name) WITH THE CRUTCH!! I have alot of patience with TNA and let most things slide, but that's exactally what would happen. And God I don't want a Shark Boy push. Couldn't take him seriously before, not gonna happen now after those horrible skits

I get why TNA uses those camera angles, I just don't like it at all because i get dizzy

Well, Lance is right. Global Impact was great, while Impact was mediocre at best.

Global Impact was presented more along the lines of those Mayweather 24/7 HBO shows that Meltzer and Alvarez always rave about, with the second half being the Nagata v. Angle match. That's what was good about it. NJPW didn't shoot the non-wrestling part of the special, which is the part that stood out as being far and away better than anything TNA usually does as far as backstage stuff. The camera work for the non-wrestling stuff was no different than anything else TNA shoots handheld with 24p digital cameras (the old PCS bits, entrance vids, etc.). It just didn't look all cheesy and sitcom-y like most backstage stuff on Impact.

yaeh the production of those interviews was really TIGHT, like they new they had effort with that.
I don't get why the shows even with editing come off as roughshod and last second as they do.

Out celebrating my birthday, if you must know. Let me ask: How exactly does it kill the imaginary Gail/Kong setup angle by having Shark Boy go "Against doctor's orders?(even though I never heard it mentioned in any of mis matches. The Tomko thing just mentioned Sharky asking for the match and that's it.)

Is there a thread made yet in your honor? ;D And yes; IMO, Storm is just ranting about ranting here... My problems with last week's show didn't even come up in this case... and the Shark Boy skits, while plentiful; weren't as offensive as he puts them. Could have used more Kazarian, tho.

I liked the beginning sketch and the ending sketch.
Chris Harris was funny in his cameo, but LAX stealing stuff in the background made me groan.
Team Porn (What is their tag name?!) showing up was lame. They can't act. Nowhere close. I wouldn't have used that one.

Hmmm......I just noticed this: 7 minutes of 96 minutes total equals 16%?
OK. Let's do this mathematically. We take the 7 and the 98 and put them like this: 7/98.
We then multiply them by x/100 to find the percentage. We cross multiply the 7 into 100 and the 98 into X and get 98x = 700.
Still with me?
We then divide 700 by the 96, leaving x alone and we are left with:
7.2916666666666666666666666666667
Rounded to the nearest tenth, you get 7.3, and it ends up being x=7.3, and you fill in the 7.3 for x.
........So, how the hell did Lance get 16%?!
NO BUYSDIPLOMA!
;D

The thing with the Shark Boy segments was that while they were kind of funny but there was more than one when there shouldn't have been. One of those segments would have been enough, there was no need to go back to it.
It always seems like on TNA's show they seem to be more excited about the backstage segments more than the matches. They always cut away like right when a match ends and it makes matches seem less important then the stupid backstage skits.

I believe it would be an extension of if an undercard jobber character like Sharkboy can go against doctors orders and still wrestle, then why can't Gail Kim the former women's champion, who wants revenge.
