I think in Lance's perfect wrestling world, there would be no vignettes, no angles, no storylines, no extravagant sets, no one has a unique gimmick, no outfits/image that makes a wrestler stand out but lots and lots of chain wrestling. I really like Storm, probably one of the most underrated workers of the 90s. But he needs to lighten up. I disagree. I think in his world a company wouldn't run contadictory storylines at the same time. At this point Shark Boy, and injured jobber is having more luck "demanding" matches that top stars are. Why?

Y'know, I'm a Lance Storm fan and generally I give the man respek about his opinions regarding Impact as it can easily be percieved as a flawed show at times, but nobody.... AND THE ROCK MEANS...........NO..............BODY rags on Sharkboy. Is he ragging on Sharkboy? Or is he ragging on TNA.

I can just imagine Storm back in the Attitude Era going "Why doesn't Mr McMahon just fire Austin" or "Why are Hall & Nash on Bash at the Beach PPV? They don't have WCW contracts" (I dunno, did they at the time? Kayfabe wise I mean, not sure actually"
Seriously though, all of Sharkboy's family wearing masks made me laugh....The only parts I didn't like were LAX & the end......I didn't quite get the end myself
Also, was Lance watching impact with a timer or what? That's how you know when a show doesn't entertain you lol

I just had a thought. Curry Man is gonna give poor Lance a heart attack. Why would it, if it plays out the way expected. Granted I don't know if TNA is expecting cheers via the reveal.

The Rican asks: Does Lance Storm have anything, anything, ANYTHING better to do then obsess over TNA? Honestly, I can understand being frustrated, hell I think TNA is dumb as crap, but he acts as though TNA's product has some kind of deep bearing on his own life. He doesn't work for them, he's not thinking of working for them, they're not considering him, and he doesn't HAVE to watch it. So...why? Yes, he runs a wrestling school Seriously why would you ask that question. And furthermore (not directed at anybody by name), why is Lance Storm not allowed to criticize but apparently we are? I never said he wasn't allowed to criticize, I'm just wondering why he cares SO much...

heres something you probably didn't expect to see...
i disagree with lance... he made some good points. but i think at this point he's wanting TNA to be something it's not, and his ranting obviously isn't helping anything. it's like trying to tell a klan member to love black folks. not happening...
i enjoyed the shark boy skits... i thought they were funny. but hey, his opinion is just as valid as anyone elses.

I never said he wasn't allowed to criticize, I'm just wondering why he cares SO much... I can think of several possible reasons... - He remembers when there were three major promotions for fans and wrestlers to choose from, which was good for everyone - He has friends who work for TNA, and he'd like it to succeed so that can keep their jobs - He has students who might one day work for TNA, and he'd like to see it succeed so they have more options than just working for Vince

Match. yes... thats exactly right. anyone who dosen't like what a promotion is doing should go through the trouble, financial woes, and stress of starting their own... that is correct... and anyone who dosen't like a movie should totally go film one and if theres a song out that you don't like, go record one and if you don't like fast food hamburgers, then start your own fast food restauraunt and if you hate your computer because it sucks, go start a factory that makes computers. are you getting my point yet?

Unfortunately Global Impact made me really want to see more Japanese wrestling, not TNA.

Storm Championship Wrestling. No, no wait - Southern Toronto Ontario Rasslin Management. Presents thier first ever PPV - "TNA the Hard Way: aka Russo goes down!"

I agree completely with Lance. TNA should read what he has to say and try to get him to join their booking committee. Not that he'd want a job, but he seems to be someone that truly gets the psychology of what can make a great angle.

Wow, way to blow it way out of proportion. Certainly Lance Storm can open a promotion. Look how many are out there. And given his name in the business he should have easier job getting name talent. If you have such a problem with something, do something about it within your means. Especially if you're so steadfast in your opinions about it.

I think alot of people are way off on Lance Storm here. The Shark Boy skits are funny? The whole show is one damn comedy skit. The Shark Boy ones were the worst. But when your show has 67 year old men teaming for a tag team shot, one of the main event guys and his wife in an endless skits with an announcer, another in a crown hiding out as a pharoh, under tables. Another guy stealing a guys RAT to start a feud. It just starts to become a bad sitcom.
I could go on and on. TNA has turned into a sad joke. No one who passes by this will even for a second consider caring about it. People who discount the fact the Shark Boy thing was just a "skit", then why was the SITCOM episode called "A Fish Out Of Water". This is not how you build a company. As a joke? You INCLUDE jokes. But if 75% of your show is a joke, eventually that joke gets old and people will stop caring.
Quick! Tell me what you remember more, Magnum TA vs Nikita Koloff best of 7, or the Desperados looking for Stan Hansen in a wild western town? What withstood time and drew money? What is considered a bad joke in a bad time?
Lance Storm cares about the business and in booking ECW, and running the WWE training has a far better knowledge of what is successful and whats not. He saw the fall of WCW due to it becoming a bad sitcom. He saw WWE transform back into a silly sitcom. TNA shouldnt just say its an alternative, but actually BE it. In 2005 it sure was, but Russo's booking has made it a sorry sorry joke that I find very hard to defend and honestly have less and less interest following. If I didnt love wrestling so much, and hate WWE the way I do, Id prob stop watching tomorrow.
And imagine two hours of Global Impact. But with one or two comedy skits, and more matches. And honest intense interviews with intelligence and meaning. Thats what survives. Not rehashes of 97 Russo plots.

I hate Lance Storm and don't respect his contributions to wrestling. He was always slightly above average in the ring (yes dating back to his ECW days), boring on the mic (come on, it wasn't just a gimmick), and never impressed me. And wow, he writes for an internet column. Well this man must speak the gospel truth! Anyone can write anything. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has them, some just stink worse then other. Get Lance Storm some Zoloft or tell him to stop watching wrestling.
