And I think people are able to distinguish between what is supposed to be comedy and what is supposed to be serious. I would have never taken Shark Boy seriously because he's not serious. If Kurt Angle or Christian came out with crutches, I'd suspend my disbelief and treat it as a genuine sell. Also, this is clearly a push for Shark Boy, which = good thing. Exactly. Shark Boy's been a comedy wrestler since I started watching TNA, and I assume he's been one since his TNA debut. The whole segments, whilst being a lil too time consuming, were just goofy fun in the same vein as Hornswoggle running through painted doors (and IMO funnier too, but that's a matter of taste). I think Lance's (and I agree with his opinions more than not, so I'm not anti-Storm or anything) argument about it killing any future potential angles can apply to many comedy segments done in the past. No-one's going to question why a wrestler who's about to take a beating by someone inside a locker room doesn't just whip out a can of spray-paint and start spraying a door on the wall to escape, for instance. The truth is, most wrestling fans either don't have a good enough long-term memory or don't care about minor things like that. Also, no-one who's been bashing last week's show has brought up the main-event, which IMO was a very good match and took up more time than the "buisness killing" Shark Boy segments.

Out celebrating my birthday, if you must know. Let me ask: How exactly does it kill the imaginary Gail/Kong setup angle by having Shark Boy go "Against doctor's orders?(even though I never heard it mentioned in any of mis matches. The Tomko thing just mentioned Sharky asking for the match and that's it.) Happy Birthday Sinister. Is there a thread made yet in your honor? ;D And yes; IMO, Storm is just ranting about ranting here... My problems with last week's show didn't even come up in this case... and the Shark Boy skits, while plentiful; weren't as offensive as he puts them. Could have used more Kazarian, tho. I thought they were pretty crappy. And to answer the above question: if jobber Shark Boy is allowed to demand matches despite being to injured to compete then how is Gail Kim being kept out of the ring?

I think Lance is pretty sensitive if he is "insulted" by Shark Boy segments

I think in Lance's perfect wrestling world, there would be no vignettes, no angles, no storylines, no extravagant sets, no one has a unique gimmick, no outfits/image that makes a wrestler stand out but lots and lots of chain wrestling.
I really like Storm, probably one of the most underrated workers of the 90s. But he needs to lighten up.

The Rican asks: Does Lance Storm have anything, anything, ANYTHING better to do then obsess over TNA? Honestly, I can understand being frustrated, hell I think TNA is dumb as shit, but he acts as though TNA's product has some kind of deep bearing on his own life. He doesn't work for them, he's not thinking of working for them, they're not considering him, and he doesn't HAVE to watch it. So...why?

I liked the beginning sketch and the ending sketch. Chris Harris was funny in his cameo, but LAX stealing stuff in the background made me groan. Team Porn (What is their tag name?!) showing up was lame. They can't act. Nowhere close. I wouldn't have used that one. I think the acting bad is part of the Pornstar's gimmick. You know, because the acting in porn is bad.

Heh lets do some Lance Storm math. 1 skit broken into 3 segments that lasted a total of 7 minutes of a 2 hour show = 6 Paragraphs of an 8 Paragraph Storm rant about TNA. I dunno, I just find that funny for some reason. I sure laughed when you put it that way Lance, maybe they do this because Russo thinks it's important that Mr. Cornette should have someone to look up to in the "angry rant" department.

Sharkboy is being buried! The man with a fin on his head who bites people's butts needs to be in a dramatic storyline!
Seriously though, I'll never understand the hardcore smark's point of view. A lot of Storm's complaints basically boil down to: "They really should be making me pay for this. How dare they do something entertaining for free and not even plug an upcoming PPV?!"

Y'know, I'm a Lance Storm fan and generally I give the man respek about his opinions regarding Impact as it can easily be percieved as a flawed show at times, but nobody....
AND THE ROCK MEANS...........NO..............BODY
rags on Sharkboy.

And I don't know what's so hard to understand about Storm, he wants TNA to succeed, but when they make stupid booking decisions, they have to work twice as hard as WWE to get themselves out of the hole, so he gets on their case when they make those bad decisions. It's a double standard, but when WWE is synonymous with wrestling in the US, it's an uphill battle. Does he take it everything too seriously? Yes. Is he wrong all the time like some people think? No.

No. Plus, he's paid to write a column for various news sites, like the LAW. He's often discussed possible ways to book certain things, like one last epic match between Sting and Ric Flair. And he's talked about UFC and its effect on pro wrestling. But there's only so much you can say about those topics. TNA always manages to shove something in front of the camera that just demands to be made fun of.

I tend to agree with Lance on many things when it comes to his take on the industry. This is no different except for my dumbass forgetting to watch Global Impact's rerun last night because something else I was watching literally put me to sleep on my couch at around 10PM.
