no it's smart of them to do, lots of fans there, lot of people to sell to.
All it comes across though is TNA trying to bank off of WWE.
hell ROH does it with great success, it's just they don't blatantly do it like TNA
Who says I don't like other wrestling companies? My favorite company right now is AAA, but Lucha Libre gets no love on these forums. It's not my dislike for TNA really much more my Dislike of what TNA does

I like TNA alot, but every time they do this stuff they sound kinda like the lil yip dog Chester in the old Warner Brothers cartoons that would constantly pester the bigger dog Spike, trying to be like him.

I'd like to see Vince and Triple H stationed in the high parts of the Bowl trying to shoot the plane down Every dime I own would gladly go to seeing this happen.

TNA has to do this. They have no other ways of drawing attention cause they suck so bad. They think they come off as rebels doing these things, but they only look like a bunch of douchebags. TNA just doesn't come off as cool and edgy like WWF Attitude or ECW. They don't have anybody or anything that's cool. TNA is more like WCW in their dying years. TNA is too hickish to come off like they're a revolution. Whatever issues there have been in Orlando this week is all the fault of TNA and they come off like total pricks.

ROH doesn't do it blatantly? Uhm, they are in Orlando for the first time ever, and it's not because they wanted to enjoy the weather. They did it last year in Detroit, and I'm sure they are going to Texas for the first time ever (and not to enjoy the weather) for Mania weekend as well.
TNA is advertising their product, god forbid they should advertise. The fact that TNA is making no money from this weekend and are going out of their way to become a fan friendly company (by doing autograph sessions and the like after the show) is good PR. They could have just as easily done a set of house shows this weekend and charge people who have already paid maybe more than $1,000 to get there, for their shows, but they didn't.
If we're gonna talk about piggybacking, that's ROH. If we're gonna talk about a situation that a company is taking advantage of because their base is here, that's TNA. And in the end, I can't blame either company for doing it since Orlando is the center of the wrestling world through Monday.

Good analogy Also to point out, yes Vince has done stuff like this in the past, however what he did actually worked, he was doing it when he was actually capable of competing, and the last time it was really done was in the Attitude Era...which as we all know is dead. Granted I'm thinking of the time they drove a Tank up to a WCW event, but that's what sticks out.

They were in Detroit long before WrestleMania 23, and their sister-promotion FIP has been in the Orlando area for years. Hell, they did a joint-show in Orlando together back in 2006. I'm not saying ROH isn't piggybacking on WrestleMania - they are, which any promotion with the capability SHOULD do. I'm just nitpicking

Yeah, this is a fairly silly thing to get upset about.
I love how people have been up in arms over TNA's "stunts" this weekend, like holding a live Impact and now the blimp thing. Why do I have the feeling that if they did absolutely nothing people would be still be ripping them for blowing a chance at getting their name out there?

I'm saying good business practice, ROH is nothing but bush league trying to make more money from the flow of wrestling fans in ORlando this weekend. TNA did the samething, all the while with a FREE TV taping to go along with it.
THe Way TNA has gone about things makes them look like douchebags

Once again TNA handles things with the maturity of a 5 year old, then they wonder why the WWE goes over the top on the security.

Someone should try and photoshop this. As has been pointed out, ROH has ran in Detroit and FL before the respective WM's were announced. ROH isn't piggybacking but rather "Hey, if you're in town with nothing to do come and see some more wrestling because we KNOW you love professional wrestling". Also, Cary Silkin has been talking about going to Texas for a few months now (even before the rumors of WM25 began).

That actually is piggybacking.
That's why if there's a Monster Truck Rally in town, there's a Car Show piggy backing off of it
That's the equivalent of what ROH does with their wrestlemania weekend shows.
It's just funny that TNA is getting more recognition for being douchebags

You still have to pay to get into the park. That actually is piggybacking. That's why if there's a Monster Truck Rally in town, there's a Car Show piggy backing off of it That's the equivalent of what ROH does with their wrestlemania weekend shows. It's just funny that TNA is getting more recognition for being douchebags Because the ROH approach is "Hey, since you're already here, why not?" (in fact, it's what EVERY promotion does....PWG has done it, IWA-MS has done it, etc.). TNA's approach has been more along the lines of "We run this Orlando s***, screw the WWE". I don't care of TNA runs a show the same weekend - good for them, more power to them. What about the fact that ROH is COMING BACK WWE-free in October?

TNA thinking they run any market in this world in the business of wrestling is pretty funny.

Because ROH is the smark darling, ergo they can't get bashed for the same thing TNA can be bashed for.
