Batman: Legend of the Dark Knight. The Joker thought he killed Batman and so he decided that he's done all he can do as a criminal and decided to try living a normal life. Without giving to much away.

I'd take THAT version of the FF over the current one. Well, Chiklis, Gruffaud, and Evans can stay. But bring back THAT Sue Storm.

Jessica Alba and her "vision" for the franchise. She was horribly miscast, and in turn, so was Dr. Doom, and then, as executive producer on the sequel, she made the damn thing even WORSE than the first one. Those films are an embarassment on par with that picture above.

Invisible Woman: Again, I really don't see how she was that bad. But then again, I'm not a perfectionist about these films, I guess.

Naomi Watts woulda been a great Sue Storm.
That said, I didn't think the FFlicks were bad necessarily, just pretty bland and unmemorable all around.

And this point, my friend I will gladly concede. She IS hot. She is just NOT "Sue Storm" material, in my mind. She might be the "Sue Storm" that 12 year olds wank to in their dreams, but she....her soullessness just does that character an injustice. It would be like casting Fabio as Sabretooth. He's just an empty, good looking SHELL of a human. There's no depth, no emotion. Again, the same charges have been levelled at Scarlette Johannson, but those I can rebut with her performances in BLACK DAHLIA and SCOOP, amongst others.

I still have yet to read that. Can never find a cheap copy off Amazon, but I live in hope. I'm sure it'll probably dry as all hell, and not worth the buildup of being my literary white whale.. but still like to give it a look.

It should be in a college university library, that is where I'd look. Go to your biggest college and look there.

Heh. the Punisher says Reading is fundamental... or I'll shoot you. Hey, Seduction of the Innocent is an important part of comic history. It's a shame that it's for the most part been lost to time.

Oh yeah!? Well I own this: ...which is actually probably lamer, but I like it. For some strange reason I own issue 13 of that.. Don't know how I got it, never read Turok, never went near it... but I have issue 13....

You think Turok was bad? Try reading any valiant title around 92-94, especially deathmate (well, ok, x-o manowar and solar were cool, but bloodshot? secret weapons?)

ahaha yeah Deathmate was pretty terrible.
The only thing I really knew about XO Manowar was that game they made with him and Iron Man. That was a pretty terrible game.

To me, the 90's can be summed up as the decade that the top three characters in comics were all nearly ruined by horrible ideas: Ugh. We don't talk about Azrael Batman in the Palace of Wisdom. I consider Azrael the Poochie of comic book characters. I figured Bruce was going to be Batman again sooner or later so what was the point of the new Batman, except to keep the comic book going? Admittedly I was starting to lose interest in comics around the time he showed up so maybe that's why I didn't get it.
