It was just an interesting story, I thought. Doesn't matter if you know whether or not Bruce is coming back. Just a cool story, that's meant to sell comics and entertain.

again, the point of Azrael was basically DC's way of telling the people who wanted Batman to be more like the Frank Miller version to snork off. they gave the fans who kept whining about how Batman should kill people a character who was exactly that so that they'd see how terrible and unheroic it was and stop complaining.
'course, they could have just showed them All-Star Batman and it would have done the same thing.

I've been able to draw pretty well for over 12 years. Now I've been a comics book fan forever and one thing that I admired was the artist ability to make beautiful images that tell stories and convey human emotions to the point where you can connect with the art work. I undertsand the artistic freedom some artist have to add a personal touch to their work in able to separate them from everything else. But seeing this reminds me that you can be a failure with no intentions of improving and still be a success as long as you bullshit your way to the top. But I know that if I drew that and tried to use that as am example for my talents, I would be slapped in my face.

I'm still amazed that Liefield finished that, sat back and thought it was even REMOTELY acceptable.
I mean, he was generally a bad artist...but holy f***. The rest of his stuff is beautiful compared to his massive-tittied Cap.

Yeah, he's definitely shown a marked improvement. He's still not amazing, but he's competent.

Let's see.....
I didn't know much of 90's comics. I think I only read the new Superman, where you had Superman turn into the blue energy thing, and some creature that looked like Doomsday was wearing the old superman costume.
I also remember Resident Evil coming out with a couple of comics that my father hated and threw away cause it was all gory and stuff. I remember a few stories, like Barry Burton fighting zombies in a hospital, a college guy killing bullies after getting infected with the G-Virus, and short versions of the video game stories.

90s comics in one word:
Preacher.
It may not have defined the decade the way bad girls or big guns did, but it is arguably the best and most original comic to be created during that period.

Gambit.. guh. I liked Gambit as a kid (so much that it was a Halloween costume) and it's taken me to grow to realize that he is perhaps one of the worst effing characters ever.

My gods yes, out of all the horrible shit of 90s comics, Preacher was so good. I still tear up at the ending of it, I just can't help it, after all the shit that goes down in the storyline, the way it ends is perfect and touching.

Hasn't Rob ever heard of an eraser? I would be ashamed to show that in my sketchbook, and here he publishes this. Does Rob actually draw feet now?
