Toledo has hired Tim Beckman as it's next head coach. Beckman has been the defensive coordinator for Oklahoma State the last two years, but also has several ties to the state of Ohio.
ESPN sources have indicated that Boise State is "highly unlikely" to receive a BCS bowl bid.

I'm watching a televised mugging called a College Football game.
Rutgers is up 49-0 on Louisville...at halftime.
Halftime.
HALFTIME!
And the coach for Rutgers was just asked if Louisville's comeback last year (from a 21-3 Deficit) was affecting these aggressive play calls and all he did was look at the interviewer and say "Exactly."
...
This...could get even more interesting.

Utah State has hired Gary Anderson as their new head coach. Anderson has been Utah's assistant head coach and defensive coordinator since 2005 and has helped make the Utes one of the stingiest defenses in the country, only yielding 16.6 points per game.

I'm gonna say Alabama 55 - Florida 10 NAT. Championship Game: Alabama 35 - Oklahoma 3 I have spoken...thus it shall be. Much as I despise the Gators, there is no way in hell that is happening. Of course it shall happen, for I have spoken.

That is a shame they an unbeaten team doesn't get one, but a 2 loss team conference only better than the Big East as BCS schools is garbage!

Buffalo leads #12 Ball State 28-17 with 7 minutes left in the game And thus Ball State starts being exposed as the overachievers that they are. Ha.

They're being exposed as a team that played a massively weak schedule. And to think Jason Whitlock wrote that Ball State's undefeated record was more impressive than Oklahoma's 1 loss record.

Take it from someone who lives there, people make them out to be the second coming among college football teams just because they are undefeated, they think they should be ranked higher than teams like Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama, etc. I'm glad they are going to lose so people will shut up. Although people will probably make excuses because Nate Davis has the flu even though he said he felt fine.

Yup, just like Hawaii last year, Ball State got completely exposed late in the season. Still a good team, but in any BCS conference they would be in the middle of the pack at best.

Congratulations to Buffalo. I don't know if anyone else watched that game, but they played very well and took advantage of the several Ball State turnovers. Turner Gill was so proud of his team, he was about to cry on camera and rightfully so. I think a trip to the International Bowl may be in order for the Bulls.
It's unfortunate that Ball State couldn't cap off an unbeaten season with a conference title win. But they've still had a spectacular season thus far nonetheless.
