I was watching ATH today on ESPN, and J.A. Adande said it best when he said that this whole "each week is a playoff" crap needs to stop. Texas beat Oklahoma earlier, but Oklahoma is advancing to the Big 12 Title game? Like he said, it's like team A beats team B in the first round, but team B advances for complicated reasons. It shows not only how flawed the BCS is, but how flawed the Big 12 tie-breakers are. In the other conferences that have conference title games, Texas would've went to the title game. But that means you completely throw out Texas Tech. Which is crap, because they finished with the same record as Texas, and beat them but don't get a shot. They get thrown out completely. You're nullifying one team's victory over another. There is no good way to settle a 3 way tie when all 3 teams have beaten each other. And just think if Oklahoma beats Mizzou, because of the bullshit rule that only 2 teams from the same conference can go to a BCS bowl, Texas Tech won't go.

Yeah, I kinda thought Tech got reaped over the coals the worst, as they dropped the most spots after their loss. Even so, Texas' win over OU was on neutral ground (if that's possible since the game was at the Cotton Bowl IN TEXAS), while OU's win over Tech was at home and Tech's win over Texas was also at home. So I kinda feel like Texas should get the nod here.

Admittingly I haven't been watching Alabama this year. How good is their defense? Because I've been hearing from people at work that their defense is really good.
I'm sure they're a good team, but Florida is just red hot right now and I really don't believe anyone can defeat them.
They remind me of Georgia from last year. They got red hot after their wake-up call loss to Tennessee. Florida has been playing extremely well since their wake-up call loss to Ole Miss.

One half is Orange, one Half is Red. Yes it is in Texas. But it is just about the same distance from the two campuses, actually OU is slightly closer. And that part of Texas has a strong OU base.

Hell, the majority of the students at OU are from Texas, with most of them from around the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

The Birmingham News is reporting that Auburn officials have made contact with Texas Tech coach Mike Leach to gauge his interest in the Auburn job.
Ball State has turned down an opportunity to play Boise State in the Humanitarian Bowl.
The Rice Owls have accepted a bid to play in the Texas Bowl in Houston on December 30th.

Ball State has turned down an opportunity to play Boise State in the Humanitarian Bowl. Boo-urns! I can't blame them. I wouldn't want to play Boise State at home either. I was really hoping to see Boise State vs. Ball State, though. However, thankfully Boise State vs. TCU isn't out of the question. That's another game that I would like to see.

If Ball State is smart they try to get the Motor City Bowl to get Boise. I think these two can sell out Ford Field

What sucks about it is that, Ohio State would get to a BCS bowl ahead of an undefeated Boise State team.
