Everyone ready for another summer of ESPN verbally blowing Brett Favre while he plays the same bullshit games he's been doing for a few years now? *Bangs head off desk*

And he hinders the way a team prepares for the season... AGAIN. I might actually kick back and enjoy the impending "Will he or won't he?" chaos this off-season, because it comes at the expense of the Jets. Take your time, Brett. This is a big decision in your life. Go ahead and think about it and weigh the pros and cons. No need to make a decision like this until May or June at the earliest. Hell, wait until the pre-season before you really have a concrete decision. No pressure from this end. Enjoy the off-season, then mull over your plans for 2009.

He'll end up wandering back half way through training camp and then they won't make the playoffs again because "He didn't know the offense well enough"

I'm sorry guys. I really don't mean to pick on you, but it really entertains me to see how people react to a guy thinking about retiring. It really does.
And right now, I need stuff like that to ease my mind so thanks! ;D

I can't wait to see how the NY media reacts to this. It's one thing for him to do it in Green Bay, where everyone loves you and he could probably get away with first-degree murder. It's another to try to pull it in a city where you haven't done squat. I'm actually kinda looking forward to this myself ;D

I don't get why so many people hate Favre.
Is he overhyped? Absolutely.
Does he play it up for the cameras? Sure does.
That established, if we weren't watching "As the Brett Favre Turns" on a 24 hour cycle on ESPN or anywhere else, we'd have watched "The Peyton Manning Saga" with 2,000 cameras sitting outside of Colts training camp trying to see if he's going to be able to play or any number of stupid, pointless, annoying and aggrivating stories. The reality is, ESPN and the other networks that you can't stand because they cover Brett Favre aren't covering him because they have a personal love for him. They don't care about the sports aspect anymore, that's long gone once head cases like Terrell Owens showed them the light and opened a steady stream of self-serving pompous jackass players were waiting to put themselves above the team for the spotlight or break the law and create a new storyline to push.
We can barely watch a game anymore without it sounding like they're trying to turn it into a soap opera because it sells. There is a group that will watch football because they love it, played it and respect it. There's a much bigger group that wants cheap entertainment.
Welcome to the new NFL. Hate what its become, not some old guy whose going to get chewed up and spit up by the machine as soon as he leaves.

I hate the Packers so therefore,I didn't like Favre. Then again,I hate everyone in the NFC North who isn't the Lions. Is Favre a good quarterback? Sure. I never liked him though.

Just in on Sportecenter. Adam Jones................ YOU'RE FIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRREEEEEEEEDDDDDDD!!! Did you hear his statement? He basically said football isn't his main interest and that he loves himself. I have a bad feeling more people are gonna be hurt by this psychopath. Edit: Now he's indicating he may sue ESPN about their report on why he was released. Jeez.

Saying he allegedly order a shooting after he'd been suspended last season I'd have to agree with you.

No team should hire Romo as coach. Yes he played for 2 teams that I love, but his attitude isn't something you want as a coach.
He can teach people to spit on the opposing player, crush a teammates eye socket, punch an opposing player and take cheap shots in practice.

Falcons president Rich McKay has withdrawn his name from the list of Browns general manager candidates. Eagles GM Tom Heckert has reportedly also backed out after Eric Mangini was named head coach. Both candidates likely wanted the option to bring in their own head coach.

Y'know this Favre business is actually a relief this year. Hell the Packers may not of had a great season but at least we know our Quarter Back won't be retiring anytime soon.

According to the National Football Post's Michael Lombardi, Julius Peppers is "nowhere close to a new deal with the Panthers and will undoubtedly be franchised."
