Bless you Comcast.
Never though I'd hear myself say that.

I'm going a to lose all of my Viacom channels except for BET.
So I guess I can still watch Smart Guy, One On One, Girlfriends and The Parkers. Yeah.

Anyone that has cable should be monitoring this, it is Time Warner today, no reason it can't be Cablevision or Comcast tomorow. I have a Cablevision for the record, so I am not effected.
If this happens, how long will it last? I think less than a week, more likely a couple of days. It can't last too long, too much money will be lost, and you know if need the politicians will get involved.

Things are fine folks. We just got word off the AP Wire that they reached a deal, and all your stations will not be taken away.

Not only would the two companies lose money, but in these times, it is a terrible pr move. These types of things happen all the time with cable companies and cable channels, most of the time last minute deals are reached.

I'm not entirely sure what cable company I have, but I don't think I'll be affected. I mean, it's January 1st where I am; and I still have those Viacom channels.

This all comes down to greed. Viacom is greedy. Time-Warner is greedy yet trying to play the "hero" by saying that they have to drop the stations so they can keep the bill lower for their customers. I am frantic because the wife loves her some MTV and the littlest one loves him some iCarly.
EDIT: Thank Jebus!

I think both sides had valid points, but I really am getting sick of this "pick up my ball and go home" drama that was being pulled here.
