With people giving him immortal status like Hogan once had, do you think he is a backstage politician like Hogan once was? Do you think he has a lot of creative control when he wants to win the belt and such?

It seems like Cena is a lot more like Rock (who basically had no problems however he was booked) than Hogan.

Doubt it, with the way the business is structured now being public and all. I think 99% of the time major decisions arent up for grabs.

I don't think he politics, but I'm sure if he went to creative/Vince and said "Hey, I want to do this" or something, I'm sure they'd be more than happy to oblidge.

Cena is all about the company and the business itself, Hogan was all about himself.

I think he probably voices his poinion, like anyone would, but he seems more down to earth and willing to do things that aren't always set up to put himself over.
I guess none of us really know for sure, though.

Honestly, I have no idea. I think it's all wishful thinking that most people think he's a company man. For right now, of course he is, he is being pushed to the moon. but what happens when that next big wrestler finally comes and Cena see's his pay check getting smaller and the merchandise sales lowering, that's when we'll get the real answer to that question

I have a feeling that more departing superstars would have more to say about him if it were so.

Everything that I've heard about Cena is that the guy is a class act, that will do ANYTHING the company asks of him. Even people that don't speak highly of his wrestling talent per se can't say enough about John the person and everything he does for the company and the industry.

A lot of the newz says he and vince are pretty tight. So odds are he has a good amount of say as to what he does.
We don't know how he uses this. But it doesn't seem too likely he uses this to hold people down or help out his cronies like Hulk. Would probably have heard something from a disgruntled ex-WWE wrestler by now if that were the case.

If he had the mentality of Hulk Hogan, then we're all doomed. What I mean is that Hulk Hogan always wanted to come out on top, and with the lack of wrestling talent from Cena in mind, he would kill the WWE.

Even with his lack of "wrestling talent" he's making WWE lots of money right now, so even if he doesn't do a single arm-bar, the fans still love him. So much like with Hogan, if he is a draw, then he can do as he wishes.

Do you think he has a lot of creative control when he wants to win the belt and such? He's got the power. I think he just saves it for emergencies. If he used it as much as you'd think he would, the main-event scene on Raw would be different.

Nothing except for 10 years of heavy losses, more then even WCW 2000) is gonna kill WWE. Now that that is out of the way...
Cena is running for Mayor of West Newberry next year and is expected to win.

Everything I've heard about the guy paints him as one of the most down-to-earth wrestlers ever. If he politicked like Hogan, I'm sure more than enough dirt would've come up by now.

To be fair, it's easy to be a nice upbeat guy when everything is going your way too.
We'll see in some years, whenever his popularity starts to wane.

Have we ever heard of Cena ever using his political clout to save himself
I know we love to hate on Cena, but I honestly think he would do anything asked of him by the E and that the protection of his character is most if not all the work of creative

None of us can really know, but he doesn't have that reputation. On the contrary, he seems to be one of the most respectful and respected guys backstage and he doesn't appear to have a problem putting someone over.
