I love it when Canada or ECW try to get themselves over. They cheer for what they like and they chant whatever they think is funny
I can not stand it when a crowd just does whatever the company wants them to do (TNA) And swings towels over their head to get themselves noticed. Or guys like sign guy who get payed by the WWE to hold up whatever they want

In my opinion crowds can do whatever they like as long as they're loud and actually do SOMETHING.

I hate it. The crowds are not the show, and it damages the long term plans of thecompany running the show.

I like the foreign crowds (any crowd really) who cheer for who they want and just enjoy the show. However the uber-snarky Hammerstein like crowds with the "Change the channel", "You f***ed up" and, "You can't wrestle" chants annoy me.

I don't care if the entire crowd chants something, so long as it feels right. What I hate is when some people try to force a stupid chant to get noticed.

You know the last time ECW went to Hammerstein? If the crowd was like that at every show, I would never miss an episode. It wouldn't even matter who was wrestling. It makes everything more entertaining. And it's better than the crowd sitting on their hands any day.

The crowd IS the show..Without them it would just be grown men in tights pretend-fighting and sniffing each others armpits. Any crowd reaction is GOOD because it adds to the show and gives the wrestlers something to feed off going forward in their matches

While I'm not for crowds trying to get themselves over, they can certainly cheer and boo what they like if they don't like it.
Take the Hammerstein deal with Big Show and Batista. That was just a poorly booked idea. You had great matches that got the crowd into the show (Dreamer/Sandman vs Knox/Test, Punk vs Credible, Angle squash). The main event should have been Show vs Sabu, or at least another tag match there with Big Show and somebody vs Sabu and somebody. But putting Batista in there, he's your typical WWE style white meat babyface, and he will be dispised. Back in the day, if you were working in front of a certain crowd, you didn't book certain things. But, I feel sometimes with WWE, they will book everything the same, no matter what the crowd is.
Like, the Canadian crowds are going to cheer other Canadians. People may say, oh, well why don't people in the States cheer people from the States. There are 30 million people in Canada, and 30 million people can consist of one State. So they're going to relate to a talent like a talent would be related and possibly cheered in a certain state. So, any Canadian should either be allowed to be cheered, or do something so horrible that people can't like them. Though, I'm sure if Edge or Jericho could do anything and wouldn't get booed.
They need to sometimes understand the crowds and book to the likes and dislikes of a crowd. They need to get to know them better. And for the love of god, please don't put over Manchester United at the MEN arena. Manchester City Center is the team you're looking for.

If they do, it had better be funny. Nothing stupid like the time the crowd screamed WHAT? during the Pledge.

The crowd may not be the show itself, but without them the show becomes pointless. They can do whatever the hell they want.

Sometimes I get annoyed at a dead crowd, but sometimes WWE deserves a dead crowd.
I don't mind 'You can't wrestle' or 'boring' because it is just the crowd expressing themselves. There have been a few times when I was annoyed at a 'boring' chant when I disagreed, but I generally have no problem with crowds expressing themselves that way.
I didn't mind 'crack whore' chants in ECW, but perhaps it was because I was in my late teens and ECW had more of a rebel, adult-oriented vibe. Today, I don't like hearing the chant.
The 'What' chant definitely got annoying, especially during those times that it was chanted at heels years after Stone Cold had been off of TV and the wrestler had nothing to do with Steve Austin. Memo to fans: Please only chant 'What?' when Steve Austin is in the ring.

They paid for their ticket, they have the right to do whatever the hell they want to, as long as they aren't breaking any rules.

Canadian and UK crowds cheer for their own and that is perfectly acceptable. Of course we are going to cheer Regal when the show emanates from the UK. But the WWE could learn to know the crowd better. Don't put images of Picadilly Circus in a show coming from Manchester and don't have Cryme Tyme chant 'euros, euros'. But its the ultra smark crowds that piss me off. They're doing just to get noticed and I despise the 'You Can't Wrestle' chant. Its unwarranted and it makes the smarks come off as petulant, assinine and childish.

It usually annoys the hell out of me. The only exception is the old ECW crowds because what they did was usually pretty amusing, and there was a genuine love for the product and talent there (and even then, they had plenty of moments of stupidity). The ultra-smarky crowds of today TRY to act like the old ECW faithful and are usually nothing but a pale imitation.
Also, "You can't wrestle!" and "BORING!" are two chants I can't stand most of the time.
