If he did use steroids in NY, wouldn't he have been caught by now since they actually did testing during his time in NY? According to the story when it broke on saturday, Gene Orza tipped him off at least once to an upcoming test in 2004. Who's to say that was the only time Orza, or anyone for that matter had tipped him off?

There's so much corruption involved here that a large number of players could get clean tests and still dope throughout the season.

I'm sure there were people who felt the same way about A-Rod until Saturday. I don't know if you're trying to get me to change my mind or what. If you are, you're wasting your time. Like I said, there are normal signs of steroids that Chipper just doesn't display. He's not gotten jacked up out of no where. As his carrer is moving on he's actually losing a bit of his power, but not his average. He never went from 30HRs to 50, 60, 70. Obviously anybody can be guilty, but I'll never believe it about Chipper until proven otherwise. I don't expect you to agree with me. I'm just stating my opinion on it.

I won't lie...
I've disliked A-Fruad since he left Seattle.
I'm just glad now I have another reason to hate on him.
Now the big question is this:
Will Red Sox fans chant A-Fruad or A-Roid when he comes to bat in Boston?

Think they'll bust out the giant Cardboard Hypodermic Needles with A*Rod heads on the end this year?

The Rays have reportedly signed Morgan Ensberg to a minor league contract. Morgan Ensberg went from hitting 30 homers a year in Houston to barely hitting above .150 in AAA. He probably needs to find a new line of work.

Morgan Ensberg went from hitting 30 homers a year in Houston to barely hitting above .150 in AAA. He probably needs to find a new line of work. Isn't that what they said about Carlos Pena? Pena had at least time on his side as he was still 28-29 when he recovered his hitting stroke. Ensberg has been on the downswing since 2005 and he's 32 now. That big time Texas Rangers preasure! Where everyone expects you to lose! Even though playing for the Rangers is like playing in a black hole, you still have to take into account that he signed the largest contract in Major League history at the time.

That apology was slightly better than Giambi's in that he actually admitted to the steroids, but his explanations still kinda sucked.
How can he say that he doesn't know what he tested positive for or even that he tested positive when every other player was notified? That, plus the fact that he said he supposedly stopped after getting injured in spring training in 2003 is confusing. Wouldn't he want to take the PEDs even more to speed his recovery and build back strength?
For the first time in a long while, I'm actually going to watch Sportscenter.

The technology advances so much that as soon as they can detect one drug, there are scientists and labs that make new ones. It's always going to be a case of being one step behind. Example: Androgen replacement therapy. Not nearly as detectable as steroids. And also, remember that MLB is concerned with appearance of given a crap, not a reality. So HGH, ART, and other similar treatments/drugs/hormone therapies might not only be ignored, but they might go for the weakest testing money can buy. Why would anyone expect a used car salesman like Bud Selig to be any different than that peanut factory in Georgia? agreed I'm guessing former Tiger, Cub, and Diamondback Luis Gonzalez. He is a 19 year vet who hit 57 of his 354 career home runs in a single season, 2001, which equaled his combined total from the previous two years.

Never mention that again! But all is good in my world now. A-Rod has finally been outed as A-Fraud, just as I've been saying since that f***er stepped foot in the Ballpark in Arlington back in the day. Now all the, oh he's so great because he's clean and he'll save us from the big doody head Barry Bonds!!!111!11!, can come to an end. But something I will say, kill the talk about this killing his Hall of Fame chances. I hate A-Rod, everybody knows that, but the guy is a Hall of Famer. Barry Bonds is a Hall of Famer. Mark McGwire is a Hall of Famer. Roger Clemens is a Hall of Famer. The fact that these people are kept out or slandered by the voters is just ridiculous. It's even called the STEROID ERA. Probably 75% or more of the pitchers that McGwire and Sosa were rocking in 1998 were on some form of performance enhancers or using pine tar or whatever else they could to get an edge. Talent is talent, and it needs to be recognized. If Alex Rodriguez, Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, and Roger Clemens are NOT in the Hall of Fame, then the Hall is a complete and utter joke. It's already borderline because of Pete Rose not being in it, but that would put it over the top IMO.

Luis Gonzalez, the guy who went from never hitting more than 23 homers in any of his ten years to suddenly exploding for 57.
