Who? Like I said, anyone trying to convince me otherwise is wasting their bre.... finger strokes. I didn't say what I said to start a conversation so much as I said it to express the way I felt about it. Luis Gonzalez, the guy who went from never hitting more than 23 homers in any of his ten years to suddenly exploding for 57. That was a sarcastic "Who". LIKE I SAID I DON'T CARE BECAUSE NO ONE IS CHANGING MY MIND. Why do people keep arguing with me when I didn't bring it up as an arguement?

Well after seeing the interview on Sportscenter, I've decided to forgive A-Rod for now. Takes a real man to admit the mistakes he has done in the past. Hopefully the part about him stopping in 2003 was true.

A-Rod sounds so dumb that you almost have to feel sorry for him. I'm not surprised that he would inject himself with whatever I-Rod and Palmero's trainers gave him. They probably could have told him that rubbing his hands in horse piss would help him hit better and he would have done it.

Hopefully the part about him stopping in 2003 was true. That was orignially my thinking until I thought about it. As mentioned before, he was busted, otherwise we would have never "manned up" and admitted to anything He really had no other choice. Going the Bonds/Palmero/McGwire route would have only made things worse on him. And you're suggesting that he conviently stopped just in the nick of time to go to New York, where all eyes were on him and pressure was at a maximum? Sorry, no buying it

What bothered me most about A-Rod's interview yesterday was when he said that he was unsure what was going into his body.
Look, if you're a Major League Baseball player at the top of your game, in your prime, and you have a chance to be remembered as one of the greatest players in baseball history, you'd better at least have some god damn idea what is going into your body.
His admittance takes him out of the Clemens/Bonds/McGwire/Palmeiro spectrum, but the fact that he still did it, and did it for at least three years, still shines a very ugly light on him.

Sorry, no buying it Well, it doesn't matter if he stopped because he was going to NY, or if he stopped because he wanted to. Just as long as he actually stopped. A thought just came up: Before he went to NY, it was being reported he was going to Boston. After that fell through, we thought that A-Rod would stay in Texas. Then of course, Aaron Boone gets himself injured and suddenly, A-Rod is traded for Soriano. So I was just thinking, if the deal with him going to Boston actually went through, would he still have taken steroids?

Okay, MLB Network, we get it. A-Rod did steroids. It doesn't mean you have to air the same one-hour Special Report segment for 29 consecutive hours. I'm missing Prime 9 because of your lazy asses.

Baseball Prospectus released their projections for the 2009 season. www.baseballprospectus.com/fantasy/dc/A few things worth taking note of... - They project the Red Sox (98-64) to win the AL East and the Yankees (97-65) to finish one game back and win the Wild Card. The defending AL champion Rays are projected to finish 92-70 and miss the playoffs. The Indians (84-78) and Athletics (82-80) round out the American League playoff teams. - They project the defending champion Phillies to miss the playoffs altogether, finishing third in the East at 88-74. They have the Mets winning the NL East at 93-69. The Cubs (95-67) are projected to be the best team in the NL with the Diamondbacks (90-72) winning the West division. I don't vehemently disagree with anything in there. I slightly disagree with the Mets winning the NL East and the Phillies not even making the playoffs, but it's also somewhat conceivable. Well, except for the whole "Mets making the playoffs".

Do you wanna go?! - The Indians (84-78) and Athletics (82-80) round out the American League playoff teams. I know the Angels lost out on Teixeira and K-Rod, but seriously, missing the playoffs and being at or sub-.500 team? Not buying it for a second. Keep sleeping on us. We like being counted out. That's when we take advantage of Calvin Schiraldi. Fixed for accuracy purposes.

Yeah, those projections are pretty retarted. The Angel's had Tex for half a season and teams are always able to find closers, making the role not all it's cracked up to be. Not to mention they signed a decent one to replace the one they lost.

At least we didn't choke a World Series. They should be more like the Mets and get it out of the way by the end of September. Lets their fans focus all their attention on football by October

It's not that I buy the Angels being sub-.500, but I buy the Athletics as the favorites in a very weak AL West. They have a less-than-awful rotation, and they added Matt Holliday and Jason Giambi to the middle of their lineup. I buy them winning 82-88 games and winning a god-awful West division. The Angels manage to find closers anywhere and everywhere, and I have developed quite a crush on Jose Arredondo over the past eight months, but they just seemed gassed at the end of last season and it just looks like their little run of dominance in the West may have temporarily come to an end. Could they win 85-88 and take the West? Possibly, but I'd rather put my eggs in the Oakland basket.

Hopefully with Spring Training coming up, they'll roll out some more original programming. Or at least some variety. As an aside, I feel like I'm watching a Whataburger ad when Prime 9 is on... or whatever those commercials the voice guy has done.

And who do the A's even have 1-5?
