Great... make me hate the guy even more. The move itself sucked but the FU was actually a cool name. This stuff is getting so watered down and kiddie oriented that maybe I'm too old for this stuff. It was cool in the 80's and early 90's when I was a kid... thought I had outgrown it in the mid 90's but the attitude era hit and bam it was more edgy and adult oriented so was cool. Guess it does make sense though Vince probably thinks of a majority of the fanbase in my age bracket and are now reverting back to the 80's stuff to watch with our kids. If I had kids or planned on every having any it'd be good... for me though nah I want the edgy stuff. If they keep with the trend it should go back to that in 10 or 15 years at least.

Whatever its called it still sucks and is not a credible finisher. Ditch it altogether or keep it as a transitional move and use the running blockbuster to finish.

JR never called the Throwback, the Throwback though -- only Michael Cole called it by that name. Wow, that's strange. Only the worst commentator calls it what it's supposed to be called. His first night on RAW was the first time I ever heard it called the "Throwback" on RAW, which was funny, as Cole immediately followed it up with VINTAGE JOHN CENA!

His top rope Fame Asser should be his finisher, in my opinion.

Well, if the FU is gonna be the Throwback, they should rename his flipping neck snap the Chain Reaction or the Chain Drive. The name "FU" has been misplaced since Brock left.
Do they still call his blue thunder slam the Killswitch?

Why change the moves name now? If it wasn't an established name I would understand but, it's been 5 or 6 years.

Keep the name, have Cole or King say every week it stands for "Fantastical Umbrellas" as Cena is a huge Mary Poppins fan. Problem solved.

That's stupid. I know they're going for that PG thing and all, but come on. That's been the name of Cena's finish for nearly six years. He hasn't even changed his gimmick, so changing the name of his move is just awkward. It'd be like changing the name of the Pedigree at this point.

Do they still call his blue thunder slam the Killswitch? The Chain Reaction sounds like a good name for a move. I personally think they should change the original Throwback name to "The move formerly known as the throwback".

I'm actually surprised he's kept the FU and STFU names for this long. I've been saying for a while now that it's kinda difficult to market him towards children when his finishing maneuvers have names that most children would get in trouble for saying.
The names were perfect when he was the heel rapper. But now, they're out of place.

Right, so the FU is going to be called the Throwback... And the STFU? Are we going to have to put up with Michael Cole referring to it as "THAT DEADLY SUBMISSION HOLD!!!!1!!" ?

No one seems to be reacting to the fact that JR kind of implies fans who understand the business to be dangerous, somehow. Which means here on Wrestlecrap, where we discuss the "real" end of wrestling as well as the kayfabe... Well, let's just say www.youtube.com/watch?v=czCqMWRFVg4

Sigh.
Thank you, WWE, for yet another way to push that part of the fanbase that ALREADY dislikes Cena even FARTHER away. Nice.
Cena's last bit of edginess has been yoinked. Next, he'll be parading out on to the stage with a Bobby Lashley 'I'm so nice and let's have candy' smile on his face and start promoting D.A.R.E while still swearing he's more hardcore than any other guy out there.
They could just like and keep 'FU' and just say it stands for Fancy Unicorns or Faraway Universes or something.
