Has proboards ever offered up an idea on how to fix the issue of when you click "next" in a thread instead of going to the top of the next page, it goes to the bottom? Really irritating (to me at least)

Really irritating (to me at least) You're only the third person I know of to have this issue here. You, me, and one other poster who asked about it here in AaM. Rest of the staff said they don't have this issue when I brought it up when I first got back here. I have no fix for this yet and don't know why it only affects some users. Eventually I'll go to support and see if they know anything.

For me it's been fixed.
I'll admit I've been... ...bad... and surfed the forums with an evil ad on that blocks proboards ads.
From info I've found out on the support site, the auto scroll to the top is tied into the ads. By blocking ads you block the auto scroll to the top. So... I've now got an ad at the top of my page and it scrolls to the top.

Ah you know what, that was my fault it was broken. I had the V4 archive visible under the board's archive. The REAL calendar is up top between search and members. You can throw yer eggs at me instead (but really wouldn't it still be more fun to throw em at Hotrod? Just sayin'). He's working on slowly adding in every event with thread links.
Eventually every Raw thread etc will have a link there.

Yea on the question of the Calendar. If you click on the Calendar tab near the top it will send you to the current month. There you will see past event threads that you can click and go directly there instead of having to dig around the archives to find a specific event.

Just a bit of confusion. Any colored name you see here that AREN'T green ( except for numero, he is in no way staff or affiliated with us even tho he has a shade of green for a name) or pink are just members who donated to the Japan relief fund a couple years back, I think for the earthquake if I remember right. Global Moderators ( all the boys and girls you see around here in green) Administrators ( Madison Carter and Myself are it and our names are the same green shade) and Gentle Lovers ( pink mods, retired but they retain the moderator options at their disposal because they're all a bunch of Terry Funks) are it for staff. Madison wanted an incentive to get the board to help raise funds because he wanted people to contribute so he allowed anyone who made a donation through us to pick out a custom color. Personally I wish everyone with a colored name would cough them up so this kind of confusion would end but that's neither here nor there. I'll go and insert a thingy into the rules board about the confusion of colored names, we take for granted that not everyone who posts here knows the board's entire history and yes, I can see the confusion. For the record, staff are not above any poster. But when a staffer goes into a thread and in no uncertain terms says to knock something off, it's beneficial to listen or the thread is probably going to get shut down. The mods are posters too tho and they have their own opinions, not everything a member of the staff is word of "law" here, just use better judgement on when a mod is speaking for the board or speaking for themselves, I don't think it's hard to tell personally. If I say to quit fighting, that's speaking for the board, so stop fighting. If I say Flintstones is better than the Jetsons, well that's just my opinion ya know? Staff list of Mods, Gentle Lovers, Admins.

When you put them on the block list there should be a little X next to their name.
Click the X and they'll be removed from your block list

When you guys decide to post big announcements such as "Post Content, Attitude and The Rules" why don't you send a Mass PM alongside posting the thread?
It just seems like it'd be more likely to reach most members that way. I think people only end up noticing threads like that on accident. Sending a Mass PM would be easier and would be more likely to reach a wider number of people.

I want to become a Mod! What must I do to obtain this honor? From our rules section. By popular demand: Q: How Do You Become A Mod? A: Moderators are selected when a need arises to have more moderators. Current mods leaving or so many people being around that moderating this board becomes too much for the current mods. Mods are not made simply to induct special friends into a secret fraternity or to elevate anyone above others. You don't suddenly become more or better by becoming a moderator. You just get a crapload more responsibility and work when you are on the board.
Let me stress this above all else: YOUR OPINION DOES NOT HAVE MORE VALIDITY OR MEAN MORE JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE A MODERATOR! Everyone has the same value on here. The moderators are just here to help make this the best damn board on the internet. I think they've done more than can be expected of anyone at this point.
Mods are selected by democratic vote by the current staff. Nominations are based on board history. If you are a calming effect on threads, if you help out, if you snitch out trolls, if you generally contribute to the board in a positive way, chances are you could get nominated. It doesn't matter if you are "friends" with mods or even with me. There are people that I consider friends, but that I don't feel would make good mods. I'm pretty sure they are cool with that. Friendship is not a criteria.
If you ask to become a mod and spend alot of time campaigning to be one, you will probably never become one. It reeks of ulterior motives and powerlust. Becoming a mod must stem from a very real desire to want to make this board the best it can be, with or without being a moderator.
These are the things we look at and in the end, it's a joint decison by the current staff. c/p'ed from Deus Ex Machina's answer in the Ask A Mod-threadThat should settle the issue once and for all.

Not something we'll do "officially" for various reasons (all of them being chaos) but we used to get together on random nights in AIM chats pretty regularly. THOSE were some fun damn times.
Had RAW chats every other week or so, and on special nights in Off Topic someone would post a link for a room and like 30 of us would go in and just shoot the shit.

So I checked the FAQ and didn't see anything about it, but all of a sudden I want to know: what's the difference between a green mod and a pink one? I always assumed pink ones were just former mods but...I guess not?

Mostly former mods, who still have mod powers (I think)
