Scenario: You work for WWE. Choose 1 dead-weight, "meaningless" title belt to retire and banish forever.
Choose another belt from the past and put it back into commission. And specify on which brand.
My call:
1. RETIRE the WWE Women's Championship. Let's be real, and spare me the hate replies. The WWE has taken the women's movement back about 70 years, and the title is more watered-down that my morning joe at Denny's. R.I.P. This title went the way of the dinosaur in the late-80's. Why was it EVER brought back? Maybe it can be resurrrected in a few years when the company stops firing real female workers. (HONOURABLE MENTION: The U.S. Title)
2. RE-INSTATE the European OR the Hardcore Title. Have the Hardcore Title on RAW and/or the European Title on Smackdown! to replace the U.S. Title. When the shows go to the U.K. or Germany, the Euro Title match should be the big deal main event. The Hardcore Title should have 24/7 rules like back in the day, and should be defended SPARINGLY.
THOUGHTS?

Defunct - Women's. (at least for a while)
Back - TV, always thought the euro title sounded stupid. Then both Raw and Smackdown can have 3 male single belts, and one tagteam. Val Venis would make a decent tv champ, then he could fued with Simon Dean or Maven who arn't on the ic level.

I agree that the womens championship is a joke now, but not the champ(Trish). I think that changing the U.S. to a European would be awesome for overseas. I liked the Hardcore Title, but the 24/7 got out of hand. If they made a Hardcore Fri. night run by Haymen and had on eHardcore title that would be Awesome. I would like to see a T.V. champ, who would wrestle on both shows untill beaten. The champ would loose more , but it could elevete the great preformers.

I agree 100% I miss the hardcore belt and the TV title who is there to challenge Trish? Victoria and Lita that's only two other real challengers for title. The TV title would be great to bring back on Raw I think it would make Raw more exciting.

Get rid of the WWE belt and have the belt that Bautista has be the only major belt and bring back the Euro belt so the lower-midcarders have something to fight over. Do you really want to bring back the Hardcore belt and see a bunch of garbage matches? The only way to bring back the hardcore title is to call it the ECW Title and give Paul Heyman 100% creative control over the entire division.

Make the women's belt defunct, it's meaningless now.
I'd bring back the Hardcore Title, but not the old Hardcore Title.... The ECW Title will become the new Hardcore title! (Hey, if it worked for the WCW Heavyweight as the World Title, it could work here!) and instead of making it a joke title like before, dump the 24/7 rule and make it so that real ECW-style Hardcore matches are used to defend the title.

Not sure if I could do this, but I'd unify the tag titles into one. And I'd bring the Hardcore title back to Raw. No 24/7. No comedy. Defend it seriously like Roaddogg or Al Snow did when it debuted.

Back in the old WCW days, I use to always think of the TV title as more prestigous then the US championship. They should definately bring back the TV title and have him defend it on every show like WCW used to do. Raw, Smackdown, Velocity, Heat, all of them. I think that would be cool and also that way there would always be at least one big match on Velocity and Heat. It would be like their world title.

For some reason, I always thought of the TV title as the Transvestite Title.

There are not enough performers on either show to justify 3 male titles, IMO. They do a crappy job of promoting title matches as it is, and back in the Invasion days when it got to the point of having EVERY match for a belt, it was pretty stupid. For them to justify another male title on both shows, I'd say they need to add a minumum if 10 performers to both shows. Too many titles waters it down and devalues the titles they have. I like what they've done with fewer title matches, which makes the ones they have seem more important. I think they've gone a little too far, however, in having seemingly all title changes happen on PPV. I guess Regal and Tajiri won the tag belts on RAW, but that was only to pop the Japanese crowd for Tajiri.

We'll remove the Women's title for the time being, sorry Trish, and reinstate the T.V Title. I would like to see the T.V title as an elevation title. For those who show promise but are not quite gready for the U.S/I.C and definitely not the World/WWE. It would be defended on all television shows, that damn 15 minute time limit I believe WCW use to do will be waived. Basically it's a guaranteed T.V time title. If you're the television champion you have to be on television to defend it.

GET RID OF THE U.S TITLE!!! This guy Orlando Jordan hasn't done a damn thing as far as title defenses. He had non-title matches against Booker and Haas so far but not one title match in almost 2 months. Why isn't the 30-day title defense clause not being enforced? If they don't want to feature this belt on SD at least use Velocity. I also remember that Big Show didn't defend the title either until the end of this reign. Other than Eddie and Carlito, the other holders have been worthless, too.
The hardcore title was retired because of the number of people getting injured and it became pretty lame toward the end. Although Tommy Dreamer was a good champion, too.
So I would bring back the European title just due to the lack of viable choices.

I would kill off Raw's Tag Team titles and make the Smackdown titles the key to tag team wrestling..That would be the only way to bring it back to where it should be and get rid of all the crap like "Hey, Bob Holly isn't doing anything..Neither is Charlie Hass..Lets make them a tag team!
Honestly, I wouldn't bring any belts back..I think there are enough..
RAW : World, Womens, Tag Team, IC, and now the Diva crap part 2..
Smackdown : WWE, Tag, US, Cruiser
If you eliminate the Raw tag titles, everything will be balanced..
But I would take the US belt off of Orlando Jordan's ass and put it on Booker T or Angle in a skinny minute..
But watch WWE bring the Hardcore title back once the ECW ppv takes off..And it too, will be nothing more than a shell of its former self.

I'd dump the WWE title and bring back the Hardcore that opens up all kinds of possibilities for Snitsky and 24/7, and for Rosey, Little Johnny, etc

They could have a house show belt.....nah that's dumb.
A brass knuckles title ala Tanaka.....stupid as well.
The brand split won't end, XPW's deathmatch trophy was crap, very few women wrestlers, already have a cruiserweight belt............a science fair ribbon? This is kind of tough, if you actually take in to account reality I mean. Otherwise they seem to have more then enough titles. Just better build up is all, not that simple it seems........

Do NOT bring back the Hardcore Title. I Repeat...Do NOT bring back the Hardcore Title!!! This title was nothing but a big joke during the 24/7 era. If this title was brought back, expect it to be won by people like Stacy Keibler, Johnthan Coachman, and JIM ROSS (Baw Gawd...I'm the new Hardcore Champion)!!! Hell, even one of The Godfather 'Ho's' won this so called title. Any belt that can be won by one of GODFATHER'S HO'S FOR CRYING OUT LOUD doesn't need to be brought back in any way shape or form.

The WWF's Hardcore title was wrestlecrap. I dare say even more so than WCW's short lived version.

Dump the World Championship Belt (or as I call it the HHH Belt) and bring in the intergender belt and make Harvey Whipleman the champion! ;D
