Jericho is a professional wrestler, paid to enact physical violence. I think he acted quite professionally. You'd think people woulda learned by now that Jericho specializes in punching broads! |

I'm sure the Brits will be waking up shortly to throw in their two cents... *yawns, rubs eyes* Ah well, let's see what's happening this morning on the ol' Interweb...hmm. The security men were hilariously useless. Tubby guys, aimlessly standing about, arms mainly down by their sides, weak or no attempts at forming a line or taking verbal control of the situation. They were ace. Loved the blue-shirt that kinda stepped aside with an "ooh, look at that" expression as people started flying about again. Jericho lost it a bit and we'll have to wait for the authorities to decide whether he went illegally over the line or not. Certainly provoked though, and I'll happily go smash up the cars of those that feel he wasn't, since you don't get that kind of free opportunity every day  As for the girl getting decked, yeah, rough for you...but what on earth are you thinking? Putting your hands on a clearly angered pro-wrestler following both physical and verbal attacks in the minutes beforehand? Seriously, you're practically asking for a fist in the mouth. Anyone crazy enough to do back in the day would've got themselves a free concussion and a missing eyeball. |

Where the hell were the Jericho personal security when you need them? Useless.
It looked like Jericho was just in his actions, a lot of the fans their seemed to be showing him love and respect (I mark for the 'Monday Night Jericho shout), then some idiots ruin it for everyone by thinking wrestling is real and wear a Cena shirt.
I lloks like Jericho did a fairly good job of snorking them up and if they want to believe in the illusion of wrestling i thought Jericho retained his character quite well. I doubt the repocussions will be too serious, his got McMahon on his side and this sort of thing has happend before with Orton etc.

This video looks to me that Jericho was visibly provoked when that girl shoved him as he was getting back into the car. That's enough provocation to fight back, I'll say. It's not like there was no physical contact before the punch, the girl clearly touched him first. Good for Jericho for dealing with 'tards. |

My view is that Jericho was backed into a corner, and security did nothing about it. Jericho did take it a little too far, but if they keep egging you on, you can't be blamed for throwing a punch, even if it is towards a woman.

Well-known figures like Chris Jericho seem to think they can do anything and the rules don't apply to them

Jericho did lose it, but he was faced with people who were either drunk or just dumbasses. He was effectively mobbed when all he was doing was trying to leave.
IMO, Security should have never have allowed it to get to that level.
