Two, Jericho screwed up plain and simple. Yes, I would have acted the same way for the most part, but shoving a door on you does not justify punching someone in the face. Security was pretty piss poor to begin with, but Jericho snapped and should have gotten in the car and left instead of continuing the chaos by spitting on people. Wait...I thought Jericho was the one spit on? This thread is making my head spin. I'll add no further comments in here. No, Jericho was the one who spit first.

First, I was just as bad as Square was so I'll take responcibility for it as well. It won't happen again. I didn't mean to sound harsh, but this isn't the thread for off topic hijinks. So sorry to Square if it came off that way.

Okay, after going through the thread and watching each video at least three times, I'm going to have to give Jericho a piece of the blame here.
Nonono, I'm not throwing him under the bus. I'm a fan and I still am, the security was clearly bad, and yes, the fans were acting like goons. But considering that Jericho had long enough to observe in that brief period of time that the girl in question was not big enough to pose much of a threat to him, it was an overreaction on his part.

She was yelling and cursing at him. as he was trying to get back into the car, she reached in grabbed him, he hit her, the boyfriend was getting in his face and security couldn't hold him back, and he cleared out the security guard and boyfriend. It's gonna be self-defense.

Jericho had long enough to observe in that brief period of time that the girl in question was not big enough to pose much of a threat to him, it was an overreaction on his part. When she first pushed him, he stood there and took it, not reacting, as he probably saw that it was a small woman who posed no threat. But then he turned his back to get back in his car, and she lunged at him again. For all he knew, this could have been someone completely different, and he reacted on instinct. I dont believe he knew it was a woman he hit until after his punch landed.

I know that the whole forum is ready to defend Jericho because "He's a good wrestler" and "He's good on the mic", but you do not hit a woman. Period. Chris Jericho is a worthless piece of s***. He brought it on himself and I hope he gets reprimanded for this. This is the worst kind of sexism right here.

I just watched this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bz1fkxwPAMI...And it kind of absolves Jericho a little bit. The woman does lay her hands on him first, by shoving him. And then he turns to get in his car after assessing the situation for a couple seconds, and she lunges at him, and he swings back. He doesn't outright punch her, but rather swings back in a defensive motion. He'll get self-defense on this one, and I'm pretty much on his side, I'm thinking. Not that he's completely in the right, but the bitch shouldn't have jumped on his excretory matter like that. She should've just left her heckling in the arena and let Jericho go on his way; not bang on his car and get in his face. Just like Jericho should've stayed in his car and done what he could've to avoid such a tussle.

Beyond that, I don't really blame him reacting the way he did. He was in a mob of fifty people, all of them clearly angry, some of them obviously prepared to make it physical. Most of the fans were just there, only about three or four of them actually got angry and physical. And that was only AFTER Jericho threw the first punch. If you noticed, most people were just there being typical fans, standing around taking pictures and what not. you're not going with the whole story, but you picked a side and you're sticking with your argument. So are you going into law?

He brought it on himself and I hope he gets reprimanded for this. If I had been in Jericho's spot, I would have done the same thing. They got off easy, quite frankly. They are old enough to know that wrestling isn't real and they had no excuse to act like dumbasses, especially near a stop sign. They could have gone one to cause an accident with their retarded behavior. What does "workrate" have to do with this? So if the Cena fangirl had been a Cena fanboy like her friends, punching the person would have been okay?

Quick Question: I would rather not watch the video but does it look like he worked the punch at all? Everyone's at fault and Jericho shouldn't get a free pass. However, I can understand how he could feel: though it seems improbable today, wrestlers have been stabbed, partially blinded, and assaulted by fans. I also know how people can feel in group situations with their emotions built up. I blame everyone and understand everyone in the situation. I think hitting a woman is acceptable if she proves a legitimate threat to you or you mistake her for doing so BUT, as someone who reacts quickly myself and who's had anger issues, Jericho acted harshly and went too far. However, I wasn't involved so i can't speak about the reality of the situation, only what I can infer about that reality. No one comes off well in this situation, even if things were done in self defense or because of emotional and physical distress. While her friends and herself may have provoked Jericho, she did not deserve a punch though what one deserves and what one gets often don't align.

Judging by the woman's shirt, maybe he didn't "C" her.
