This is a limited time thread, and the first hint of crap getting out of hand makes it go bye bye.
That being said....
We would like to hear your suggestions on how to make this forum better? Be it different rules, handling of troublesome posters, or just overall suggestions...we want to hear them.
This does not mean that we plan on doing these suggestions, but if the suggestion is good enough, who knows.
And two things before I end this...
1. There's not going to be an adult board to curse and fling your willy around so don't ask please.
2. You don't have the right to call someone's else's ideas stupid. I'll ban you outright for that.
Be heard people.
PS. This is for serious suggestions only. Plenty of other threads to joke around in.

Is there perhaps an incentive system you guys can put together? Perhaps a perk that can get people to remain good and not annoying?

Is there perhaps an incentive system you guys can put together? Perhaps a perk that can get people to remain good and not annoying? Problem is what would that be? At the end of the day, this is just a message board for discussion of pro wrestling. A karma system or something along those lines wouldn't sway anyone, and there aren't any physical items we can put out there for anyone either.

How about something like a three strikes banning policy?
First strike is you can't log in for a day or two.
Second strike is a month.
Third strike buh bye for good.
Of course if someone is really bad they still get banned instantly.
Thoughts?

I don't know if its possible, but an ignore button would maybe reduce frequent clashes between posters who often disagree. I wouldn't mind not seeing a few posters myself.

Plus, to add to that, you'd run into the problem of people thinking because the had "6 Gold Stars" it entitles them to "1 Free Douchebag" card.

Hmm...MGH and Muskrat make good points.
I actually like Woody's three strike rule. An ignore button would be interesting also (as Rican stated)

Can't you just flat out Ignore certain posters without a button though?

I'd like to see a re-vamped FAQ for all three wrestling-related sections. Especially for (w)rest. Something where common questions (Strong Style vs Kings Road? where can I find local indies? what's the deal with DOI vs ROH? does Russo book TNA?), forum fad questions (why are people typing in all-caps about Chikara? why are people saying "Book it Pearce!"? what's the deal with Batista and basketballs?) are there. Because more often than not, common questions like that aren't answered when someone makes a thread about them and the thread turns into shenanigans.
I'd have each one stickied on each sub-forum just so people can see it. And it can be updated easily.

Can't you just flat out Ignore certain posters without a button though? Many people won't like us two, because of the way we joke around, so when we do two pages of banter between us in a thread which they might have a interest in then it would be annoying having to see "Square: blah blah blah" "TTS: Blah blah blah" to find what there looking for. It would be much easier to just see "Square: You have blocked this persons posts" "TTS: You have blocked this persons posts"

I didn't even notice the thread was there until it had been there a while. Same for the rules: does anyone read them when they first sign up? I've seen things on other sites where you are basically forced to read the rules before you can even check the "I Agree" box. Like, if you scroll too fast or not at all, and just click that you want in, it won't let you. That's the best I can do with suggestions for now, but I agree that this thread is a good idea.

I'm talking about putting the FAQ's for each of the three wrestling sub-forums at the top of each, so it's hard to miss. Putting that much effort into them and putting them in the Rules forum would be a bad idea IMO.

Perhaps the FAQ could be tacked up as an announcement permanently?

At the moment, the only thing I can think of would be an added "Forum Game" section maybe?
As for everything else, it seems to be fine right now. The rules work, the mods are pretty good actually.
