He was an integral part of my favorite WWF skit of all-time: Butcher Vachon's wedding on TNT. Seeing him take a pie to the head, courtesy of Dr. D, was classic.!!!
RIP Al, no one could ever introduce a Brut commercial quite like you could.

He pops up a couple of time on the WWE Greatest Stars of the 80s DVD. Here's an article on his passing from the official site... www.wwe.com/inside/news/hayesMy best friend got to take a picture with him at Summerslam 91.

You know what I remember him by? At the end of about 100 of the old Coliseum video releases, he did a voiceover that was something like this (it's not verbatim...):
"For more information on Coliseum Home Video releases. write to P.O. Box (blah blah, something) Fairfield, New Jersey, 07 'double 0' 7."
I had that voiceover memorized for a while in my younger days.
We'll miss you!

Lord Alfred was another guy who had a great chemistry with Bobby Heenan, only they worked in the opposite way as Heenan and Monsoon. Regardless, wrestling lost a legend today.
Somewhere up there, God found the perfect voiceman for his sponsor billboards.

I only know Alfred from his work as a WWF announcer, as I was too young to actually see him in the ring. (In fact I probably wasn't even born yet.) But I'll always remember his commentary with Gorilla, and his participation in those goofy Coliseum Video skits.
You'll be missed, Alfred.
