Apparently, the Hulkster was using "Real American" as his theme music when he was in the AWA :

WWE doesn't have, nor do they wish to purchase, the rights to Eye Of The Tiger.

I'm sure Survivor would love to sell the rights to Vince

Survivor will trade the rights to Eye of the Tiger for a hot meal and a carton of Marlboro 100s.

The AWA dvd did some history re-writing as well.
On the AWA dvd, according to Jerry Lawler, he was not paid by Verne for Superclash 3. That is correct. The reason is because, the deal originally was that Verne would pay his guys, Fritz Von Erich would pay his guys, and Jerry Jarrett would pay his guys. But Jarrett told Lawler that Verne was supposed to pay him. This was according to Greg Gagne anyway.

Very sloppy by the WWE (wee wee) Hogan using Real American before it was even written or recorded? ;D

Someone in the WWE must have went back in time then to inspire Rick Derringer to write Real American.

I do hate the way they do that. When I get a DVD or even when I watch 24/7 and they replace Voodoo child with the nwo theme it lessens the effect for me. I recall getting hyped about Hogan's entrance just when I heard the opening riff. Sam,e goes for WWE replacing Goldberg's theme on old wcw events. Come on guys DAMN!

With Goldberg theme music, it is the same music. The reason they replace his WCW music with his WWE music, is to dub out Michael Buffer's ring announcing.

LOL, using Real American for AWA is kinda ridiculous. I realize they can't use Eye of the Tiger, but Real American? They'd honestly have been better off using the infamous Mike Knox theme that seems to be permeating history.

Survivor will trade the rights to Eye of the Tiger for a hot meal and a carton of Marlboro 100s. Actually, Survivor's lead singer is living pretty comfortably off the money he's making singing backup on Anheiser Busch's "Real Men of Genius" marketing campaign.

Plus, those Starbucks commercials ran a ton, so he probably made a killing there.

it's stuff like this that makes me never wanna watch any dvds. I'm so sick of rights this, rights that, copyrights this, copyrights that. Pretty much it should be that if the owners allow their music/likeness/announcing/etc to be used in the first place in a piece of footage, it can be used forever IN THAT FOOTAGE. I'm so sick to death of WWE's dubbing/editing/censoring.

They can't use the music he used, what's wrong with using the music that instantly identifies him?
