That didn't come across as being humble, jagilki. It seemed like u were deliberately downplaying the fact that you are a very skilled mafia player. The tone of your responses worry me also. It seems as though you might be upset that i outed you and are putting all your cards on the table because of it. I could be making a mountain out of a molehill or i could've stumbled upon a rare mafioso mistake. Could be that he was downplaying his skill just to stay out of the Mafia's crosshairs. Just a thought. Sounds like you are trying to clear jaliki's name, which is a pretty scummy thing to do I've noticed in my few games around. Mafia backing up mafia, perhaps? Or am I reading too much into this?

I wouldn't say your reading too much into it. It is a distinct possibility. Can't rule anything out yet.

I'm just pointing out alternate theories, same as always. If jag does something really scummy, I'll call him out on it. But people seem to be jumping at their own shadows right now.

Actually, and my experience is limited only to last game, the only time I remember people defending other people was usually townies defending people. It is much easier for the mafia to play up someone else as being suspicious. Plus if the person your defending meets his fate in anyway be it lynch, serial killer, or vigilante you immediately become a suspect so smart mafia keep a bit of distance until the numbers thin out.

I am not mafia this go around.
I don't fear a lynch. If people feel I should be lynched I'd rather have done, then people can concentrate on finding the true scum.

Granted, I've only played one game of Mafia, but when I looked back in the previous game on Day One, I thought it was really interesting to see how Mafia played their roles on that first day. It also has me curious as to who's doing what on this first day, because I really doubt all of the Mafia are remaining inactive. There is a lot more action in 6 pages than I really expected.
That being said about active Mafia, perhaps more aggravating than trying to convince people I was right about who I suspected as Mafia in the last game was the horde of lurkers/non-active players throughout the game. Now, I'm definitely not a post addict, but I don't see the point in ANYone being away for over a two day period without at least popping in to say what's on his/her minds.
I'm several hours away from home on vacation and even I'm going to at least try to drop in. It's hard for me to believe that people who committed to the game can't at least make an effort. (It's still early, I realize that, so I'm not complaining about the here and now; I'm just hoping we don't get into the 10th, 11th page or so without ever having heard from some players.)
Oh, also, in reference to the brief mention about a jester. I'm personally not worried about the possibility of a jester. It's probably the stupidest role I know of in the game. One reason is because I would think it would be kinda easy to pull off. Like I said, I'm new to the game, but that role still seems lame to me. Any game that ended on Day One because of a jester lynch is a game that probably needed to be ended pre-Day One anyway. (No offense to the mod if there is one in here; it's just a Mafia rookie's opinion.)

FoS on anyone who votes for Jag within the next 12 hours. This martyr plea is screaming for the mafia to come get him and Jag, you are officially #1 on my scum list with this move.

If he makes it through this 12 hour period, I will vote for him Ritt, this Martyr thing is too scummy to me. He's a loose cannon right now and even with the lurkers, I feel as if I can't have a guy who is willing to die for the good of the town. Every Townie is important.

I get that you suspect him, not that I agree with the way you reached that conclusion, but why FOS anyone who votes for him?

If I was mafia I'd vote for you right now to strengthen others trust in me. You're basically my only real suspect right now, but all the lurkers still bug me something awful. I shall wait and see if something new develops.

I have a gut feeling he is a townie but that he's going about it the wrong way. I'm not sure what it is but I just get that sense about him. Hmmm...if there is third party in this game I could possibly see him as that perhaps. That is just the vibe I'm getting so far.

Sorry for the break in posts, damn internet. My thoughts on jag are that he is town going about it the wrong way, just like Oblivion Sorceress said. However, something gnaws me about him. Like he might be a third-party, which leads me to suspect him. Unless that's what he wants. Then I don't.

Quick Question: Is it better to lurk or to make a throw-away post because you don't have any real feelings about anyone in the game?

Lurking is seen as a scummy thing to do. Also, not contributing to the discussion does not help anyone. You're not helping the town find and root out mafia. You make yourself look suspicious by avoiding discussion.
Also, IF jagilki is third party, he more than likely is not aligned with the town and his goals are for his own gain.

ebwop one more thing: FoS: Mr. Emoticon Man
why would someone be so quick to try and defend jagilki when all he has is one FoS on him? I have two theories.
1) Mr. Emoticon Man has some info on jagilki that proves him innocent (possibly linked roles) 2) they are scumbuddies trying to keep his buddy from being targetted by the town.
Now i'm not trying to suggest we lynch anyone this early in the game, especially before the lurkers pop in. However, if jag is lynched and he flips scum there's a very good chance the Emoticon flips scum as well.
