I was really enjoying Orton when he came back from his injury, but not so much now.

When he appears on TV, I have to change the channel to stop myself from falling asleep. Seriously. The guy is an insomniac's dream.

I buy that he's part of the problem, but more so creative is. There's only so many times you can wrestle the same person with the same stories and be creative enough to come up with new scenarios for the matches. Everyone has limits. This, Orton needs a fresh start, Orton needs SD!. And in June 2010 I hope he's Drafted to SD!.

Orton is the problem like a mouse in your living room is a problem when a wall was blown down from a hurricane. Sure, he's part of the issue, but he's merely a symptom.
I sometimes think it's not WWE that changed. We just got jaded.

I think the real reason he walks so slow to the ring is because he really likes his entrance music.

This would never happend if they didn't fire Kennedy. I would just loved it if Evan Bourn got a title shot/fued at a ppv. Just one, nothing big. I thought that's why we had throw away ppvs.

YEah not only is the Main event stale, but really the only matchup is either him against Cena or HHH. So what other main event heel do you have on RAW, that you could buy as a threat? Swagger or Miz? Big Show's doing the Tag Titles and when Him and Y2J split, he's on Smackdown/

It's more of a creative problem. Orton had enormous heat and was getting huge buzz all at the same time, and then the storylines got so cut and paste simple that the edge was lost. The wrestlers are putting what they can into the matches I believe but there is no juice or reason other then the belt. This. It's not Orton, Cena or any other performers fault. It's a creative issue...

Orton isn't the problem. He's the answer.

Orton is not the problem.
And can be HUGELY exciting in the ring, when working against people with a fast style.
Don't understand the "bland" comments at all.

Orton isn't the problem. He's the answer. If the question was who was interesting about this time last year but through a mix of bad booking and boring matches is now as boring as he used to be 2002-2007 then yes. The answer is Orton.

There's only one way to settle this. Put Orton in against someone who isn't Cena or Triple H, and see if he blows the roof off the arena, or if he just blows.
I have seen little in his actual wrestling work to indicate he's anything special, at all. His body language and mannerisms are pretty spot on for his character. Unfortunately, that means doing everything at a snails pace.

Honestly I don't think Orton or even Cena is the problem. Its how they are booked. Would Cena have even become popular if he was this "I respect you" bland babyface at the beginning? Would Orton have become popular (remember the Legend Killer?) if he had the gimmick of being "coward who runs away from everything yet is still the champion and talks real slow"? I don't think so. They are two of the most boring characters (not wrestlers, CHARACTERS) to main event in WWE history.

Orton could get a bigger face pop than Cena if he turned. We need better faces...he's a good heel (maybe not greaT) but there's like no other legit heels on raw at all,

Orton is a good wrestler who has good matches. But he's not a great wrestler and I cannot think of many 'great' matches he's had whereas with Taker,Shawn, and Hunter I think of at least 20 for each without even trying.

The trouble is he's said he deliberately makes his matches more boring, if the crowd are hating the chinlocks he does them for longer, he doesn't want to give people anything to cheer (source at the bottom). Although I understand it's meant to make people want to see him beaten it just results in me not even watch his matches unless I'm into the storyline, it definitely doesn't make me want to pay to see him. Another problem that might not be his fault is that his recent matches have featured lost of lulls while one of the wrestlers are recovering from offense that wasn't that strong. www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/wrestling/article1564179.ece

WWE traditionally makes the heels deliberately wrestle a more boring style to better insure that they will be disliked and booed. You will especially notice this when a high flying face turns heel. Suddenly most of their exciting moves vanish from their repertoire, barring their finisher if its a top rope maneuver.

Orton is dull as ditchwater. Always has been, always will be.
He was given his first title as a 'screw you' to Lesnar, becoming the youngest champ ever, and has dined out on that premature and undeserved push ever since.
