The way that I see it, The Undertaker is still pretty cool, but there's just something about Paul Bearer that complemented the Undertaker and made him way more awesome and I miss that element.
I mean, when the Undertaker returned at WM 21, just look at that pop when Paul Bearer simply said "Oh, yes!" so I know that I am not alone.
What does everyone else think?

I kinda miss him, but with me recently joining the Undertaker Retirement Committee, I don't think he needs to come back.

Oh I loved him. I never understood the hate from some smarks.
Yes that whole urn business was stupid, but Bearer was just great in complementing his "worker" client character and always memorable when doing a promo.

Naaaah, he worked back when the Undertaker needed his urn for energy. But he was useless once Taker was able to gain energy without it.
Man, I can't believe a gimmick with such a stupid premise got sooooo over. If I came up with that kind of gimmick here, I'd get laughed at and kicked out of the forum for wasting people's time.

I really liked him, but he has had a great career and he wouldn't really fit anywhere in todays current scene.

And that was five years and basically a different era ago. Bearer would get half-sold by the crowd today. Like the Rock did.

I am missing all managers. What the hell happened to 'em? sports entertainment happened. And that's too bad, because there are a ton of talented guys who couldn't talk if their lives depended on it (Shelton Benjamin and the Hart Dynasty to name a couple off of the top of my head), which will hinder their career potentials and there are also several terrific managers around (the likes of Prince Nana, Jim Mitchell, and Larry Sweeney), who could really help get over the aforementioned talent.

I miss all managers. Not just him. Bearer, Perfect, Heenan, Fuji, Cornette, Elizabeth, Sherri, Heyman, Chyna, Harvey. Do you think we'll ever see another BOOM period for managers?

Is that what happened to Bearer? I just got WMXX the other day and watched it through and wondered if it was just a one night return thing or if he was there for a while after. I wasn't really watching at the time.

Not really, he runs a funeral parlor just a few blocks away from my house (true story).

I remember watching Paul Bearer before he was Paul Bearer I remember him as Percy Pringle back in World Class Championship Wrestling.
But yes I do miss Paul Bearer. i miss hearing his voice I miss seening the urn. But I also understand that at this point in time Paul Bearer is not needed to help the undertaker get crowd reaction.
One reason that I miss Paul Bearer is because of the "Funeral Parlor". I remember seeing the segment of when Hogan appeared on funeral parlor and he was attacked by Undertaker.
But I have to say my favorite talk show segment ever on wrestling was when Jake the Snake Roberts beat up both Paul Bearer and Taker on the show.
Another reason that I miss Paul Bearer is like I said I remember him from WCCW, and he was a reminder of a time when I still believed that wrestling was real. ' So yes I do miss him.
And I would love to see him again even if it is just used to hype and Undertaker retirement match.

I'd love to see Bearer make an appearance for Taker's retirement...and MAYBE if he was healthy and willing enough, manage a new "Darkside" style character.
...hell, I would have loved to have seen Bearer manage The Boogeyman.

Another reason is Paul Bearer actually remembered the storyline from nearly seven years before.
At WM XX just before he turned to await the approach of Taker he yells to Kane in the ring "you're no son of mine." that was classic, I mean I had forgot all about that part of Kane's character until PB mentioned it and then I had to rush and look it up myself.
