My first copy had so many scratches, I had to buy another copy. This game is awesome to the max! There is always something new I learn playing this game, and it made TLC matches a hell of a lot of fun.

I have considered getting a used copy of this for a long time now. It's one of the games I truly regret trading in.
I loved how you could put CAWs in Season Mode and have crazy upsets like when I had the Bashams beat Big Show and A-Train for the tag titles.
Also, this was the game where you could use Kevin Nash and Jacknife some poor fool off the Times Square marquee and through the roof of a limo.

I love how they watched Rock vs Hurricane and Goldberg's All Japan matches and based their movesets off those matches.

Just playing this game now, wow, not played it in a couple of years. What gameplay! And what a roster! Austin, Rock, Cena, Orton, Steiner, Lesnar, Goldberg, Nash, HBK. Just amazing! Also, not 1 but 2 different Undertakers, Ted Dibiase, and Ultimo Dragon. Still to this day, my favorite wrestling video game. |

I love this game. The roster is great, the gameplay is great, the season mode is great: everything about it rules beyond believe.
I personaly enjoy the ability to give a different set of stats to the roster. You can turn Tajiri into a GOD!

It's good alright, but I'm probably the only one here who thinks that the CAW models are extremely crappy, especially compared to the in game wrestling models.

Probably the best game in the franchise... but the season mode got hard after a certain point (for me anyway). I remember getting the European Title with Booker T, but I jobbed every single match after winning...  And dammit, I can't type today... |

I traded in all my Smackdown PS2 games recently because I don't play them anymore but I couldn't bear to part with HCTP as I still play it regularly and for me it is still not been surpassed as the best Smackdown game in terms of gameplay.

Damn, I want to get the game just so I can have a WWE vs TNA war. A fair amount of TNA's roster is in the game to begin with.

Not played it in quite some time, but it is without a doubt my favourite wrestling game and one that I still own. The roster and the season mode was absolutely superb. The Smackdown vs. Raw game that followed it in 2004 was poor in comparison and I started to lose interest in the series from there - I don't even buy the games anymore.
Think I might dust off my old PS2 after reading this thread,

I love this game because you can have great matches and make yourself mark out because the computer more or less cooperates with you and doesn't immediately pin you like almost every SVR game after that. Not to mention that the roster is so awesome that you can have a great match with pretty much anybody. Case in point: The best matches I ever had were a Bubba Ray Dudley/Lance Storm Last Man standing match and a Tag team match with the WGTT and Tajiri/Ultimo Dragon.
