IMO, Kenny was somewhat overrated but he could still have been used more then they did. At least he got a 2nd chance, but considering his 2nd gimmick was "I have a surname now", he didn't have a whole lot to work with. There really was no excuse for wasting Johnny and Mikey like they did. Both could have gone alot further. Johnny could easilly have been in the US/IC title picture by now and Mikey would have been great if a CW division was still around. Mitch was kinda just thrown in to 'fill the void' (Was it Punk who said he didn't want the gimmick?) so I give him the benefit of the doubt that he may have been better if he hadn't been brought up unexperienced and injured. That one "I Suck" promo he did showed he at least was a natural on the mic. Nicky/Dolph/Kerwin White's Caddy was the lucky one of the 5. He was actually my favorite member towards the end of it, so I'm glad that at least he still has his career in WWE. Where are the other 4 now anyway? Ken Doane works around the indy scene, and even popped up in Dragon Gate USA to take on 2 Cold Scorpio during their first event. Mike Mondo still wrestles for OVW, as far as I know, and Jeter retired, I think. As for Mitchell, I have no idea. Isn't Nick Mitchell going out with Torrie Wilson?

Didn't they start a clothing line together or something?
And who would've thought that at the end of it all, that Nicky would be the one standing tall?

I remember towards the end of their run, there was dissention between the members of The Spirit Squad. Too bad it didn't play out completely.
Also, for the reason why they disbanded, per se. Gimmicks like that have a very short shelf life and can only get so far. Plus, they were a stable so at some point or another, they were bound to break up. The problem was, nobody benefited from that stable. Dykstra was expected to, but it just didn't pann out.

I loved the Spirit Squad, but the gimmick had a REALLY short shell life. I thought it ended just in time before they got stale.

They really played off Kenny vs. Johnny, to the point that Johnny had grown his hair out and became noticeably different from the others. Of course, they then dropped the tag titles and proceeded to job their way out of any remaining logic.

For those that remembered Spirit Squad likened to Ginyu Force: The power of Paint compelled me back then.

If they were like the Ginyu Force, they'd still be around. Although, at some point, SSJ Cena would've had a few words with them.

It was decent heel stable with a good run.
What great, memorable demise for the group. Put in box and shipped back to OVW

They all looked the same. They were never going to get anywhere.

It was because their matches with DX never rated or pulled PPV numbers, and GOD knows it can't be Hunter and Shawn's fault. They're not stale, nope not DX.

Because they were obviously held down by Hunter and Shawn.
Actually, it's because they had a silly gimmick with a very short shelf-life.

The fact that Johnny Jeter and Ken Doane didn't become stars in World Wrestling Entertainment is something that still disappoints me to this day.
Paul Heyman's OVW stuff was incredible, I wish I would have gotten my hands on some hard copies of it before they stopped allowing OVW to sell their DVDs. I know I'm going to sound like a huge mark when I say this, but I think WWE's developmental program has suffered immensely since they let go of Jim Cornette, and subsequently Paul Heyman.

I always had a fantasy booked angle where Johnny would get kicked out of the Squad, then come back after a month or so with a new look and take out all the Spirit Squad members one by one, eventually coming down to Kenny vs. Johnny. It would have been cool.
