What are your examples of unexpected tag chemistry? For me, first and foremost, the New Age Outlaws, "Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn. They looked like midcarders-for-life, but they are actually had one of the best unexpected tag chemistries.
My second is John Cena/Randy Orton. Unusually entertaining tag action when they are together.

Damn, I forgot about those two. They were just so natural together, it's not easy to remember they weren't involved with each other at all before the Acolytes. To be fair, both are pretty good at what they do. It surprise me if they didn't do well together. |

BookerDust. That looked like the most random tag pairing of all time on paper, and then they went out there and wrestled as if they'd been tagging for ages.
Another one is Kane with both X-Pac and later RVD. Kane just seemingly has great chemistry working with wrestlers with that style.

BookerDust. That looked like the most random tag pairing of all time on paper, and then they went out there and wrestled as if they'd been tagging for ages. Another one is Kane with both X-Pac and later RVD. Kane just seemingly has great chemistry working with wrestlers with that style. Let's face it - Glen Jacobs is one of the best big men in the business. Dude is a bit smaller than Paul Wight, but moves like he's supposed to be much lighter. There a few big men I rank higher that wrestled in the USA (Vader, and Bam Bam Bigelow). And BookerDust, I agree. Completely random. "Well, we don't have anything for these two guys. Let's put them together to see how it goes, and if it doesn't go well, release them." They turned out to be a very entertaining tag team. |

Well, Big Show and Jericho are both main eventers, and Jericho is a good wrestler, and Big Show has always been a decent tag partner. As for Mark Henry and MVP, I don't know. Mark Henry is another person who is a pretty good tag partner. I prefer D'Lo Brown and Mark Henry team instead of MVP and Mark Henry. |

Honestly, Mark Henry and almost anyone. Mark is pretty damned fun to watch, but if you ask him to give you more than 20 minutes, you're hanging him out to dry.
I kind of feel the same way about Khali. Stick him with Kane, or even Hurricane Helms, and I'd love to see the results.

It's WWE thinks they can, or they used to think they can, push Henry as single's competitor. And people didn't buy it. Put him with tag team partner, and *snap* you got yourself a decent team. That said, I prefer his pairing D'Lo Brown the most. Both are pretty big dudes, but have vastly different styles, yet also complement each other. |

Kane, Vader, Rock, Al Snow, they pretty much all feuded with him or had conflicts with him while teamed with the guy. I think he also teamed with Goldust briefly, but I don't know how they got along. |
