One of my favourite things about ECW 2006 was how badass Test was. I think he was roided to the gills at the time, but he was having a lot of great matches with people, he looked great and his moveset was f***ing KILLER. That tag match with him and Knox against Sandman and Dreamer tore down the house and got Test, yes TEST, respect from the ECW fans. And then he walked out on a title match with Bobby Lashley. A TITLE MATCH. ON PAY PER VIEW. That bugged me too. It would have made sense if he was the chapion since in WWE, if the champ gets counted out, he keeps the title, but he was the CHALLENGER. The fact he was pushed as such a tough guy only to be made to look like a wuss in the end was just stupid since he did not gain anything for it. Granted it did make Lashley look in invincible, sort of, but it also showed that we shouldn't care about the title.

As much as I love ECW I wish they would change the name seeing how it's all most nothing like ECW. My problem with the name though is not tha it's nothing like the old ECW, but mor thatthe E stands foe extreme. what's really extreme about it? It's EXTREMEly good.

In my opinion, ECW really took an upswing in quality when it stopped trying to be the original ECW, and embraced the fact that it was a WWE Breeding Ground. Sure it is still called ECW, but it's no longer trying to be something it's not (the original ECW). It's now a place to see new guys and veterans who would easily be overlooked on Raw or Smackdown.

Seriously Doring came in out of shape and sloppy. I will give in to Roadkill, they stripped him to speedos and took away his "CHICKENS!!!!" catch phrase

I didn't get Sci Fi at my old house, so I wasn't able to watch for a while. (It's always been on Sci Fi right, or was there another channel I didn't get?) Watched ONS, and that was great! I enjoy the current ECW though.

One Night Stand 2... the minute I saw the old guy run out during the Sabu/Mysterio match and yell "That's it. It's OVA!", I knew this was going to be very bad, sooner or later.
I gave up on it by August.

I miss the vitality it had. Even as a watered down imitation of ECW, it was held high in regard to the other two brands.
Now it's just kind of... there. It's not even Heat. It's more like WCW Saturday Night.

I love present day ECW. Christian FTW. It's the best of the 3 shows..just barely edging out Smackdown in my book. It's consistantly fresh. Christian is probably the longest running main eventer since..Punk? I don't mind when their talent gets raided in the annual draft because someone else is just around the corner waiting to be showcased. It's a great mixture of young hungry talent and veterns who would be lost in the shuffle on RAW.

I think it all went wrong when they did the December to Dismember PPV. Yeah i remember that one being pretty woeful. Wasn't that the one where test almost killed someone with a headstomp off the top? Although its lost all its identity, i can honestly say there isnt a superstar i dislike in ecw atm, and its booked well. Probably my favourite of the current 3 shows. Wait, what did Test do?
