Let me start with the THQ hate.
Screw you, THQ, and your incredibly cramped half-assed story mode.

Other than the CAW limitation the story creator mode looks BOSS

Said this in the last thread, but since that one is ending, I'll say it again here. Word is that SvR 2011 is going to have a new graphics engine. Hopefully it also means that the gameplay will change.

Where did you hear this information from? Not that I'm doubting you I'd just like to read it myself

So there's going to be a 2011? Glad for that, don't want a new developer - I'm happy with THQ.

I think I'm gonna get my pre-order money from GameStop for this. There's no real point to making the Create-a-Story mode limited to the point that putting a CAW in it isn't even worth it. That makes it less than a full game to me--ain't no way I'm paying $60 for less than a full game.

It was an interview somewhere on GamingRing or IGN. Can't exactly remember.

It was always going to be a "rent first, buy later" deal for me anyway, but after seeing the negative response to Story Designer, there might not even be a "buy later" now.
Ah who am I kidding? I'll end up buying it later.
Besides, even though it sucks for the people who did want to use Story Designer to create their epic storylines, I don't see myself using it that often. So it's not that big a deal to me.

A 67-wrestler roster, Career Mode, RtWM Mode, CAW Mode, Highlight Reels, Custom Entrance videos, Community Sharing, Create A Finisher with new option, revamped matches, new matches, new backstage areas, and a Story Designer (in ANY capacity) is not a complete game? That is well-worth 60 bucks compared to what has been done in the past. You should be lucky they're letting us use created wrestlers at all.

I picked up SD vs. Raw 09 a few weeks ago at fye for like $5 (after rebate). It's the first SD vs. Raw I've played for more than like two minutes and the first game since Raw 2 (ugh). Fun stuff, though.
'10 looks like a solid step forward, though I'll probably wait for the price to drop.

It's some kind of wacky internet trend.

Hey, I was always skeptical of this whole thing in the first place. Besides, I shouldn't be spending 60 on this anyway--I should rent first. It was a mistake anyway.

Honestly? I'm still plenty excited, and this doesn't do a lot to ruin it for me. Can't do some of the things I wanted to with it, but should still be tons of fun.
