I still think the engine they should use is Euphoria. Take a look at this: And that is just the free Endorphin learning physics program. Imagine what they could do with Euphoria. Sure it would have a few glitches, but they can fix that up. Jesus christ. That was amazing. And the sad thing is, the mannerisms/selling* EASILY trumps anything THQ has EVER done. And WTF? NO CLIPPING WITH THE ROPES?! *Ok, to be fair, most people 'selling' the moves in that video SHOULD be dead. I don't know but I'd doubt it. You could always give him the Chicken Head and colour it silver.... LOL I meant the strap mask, not the steam helmet. I know I'll never get THAT in a game.  |

I couldn't sleep last night, so I decided to put together an idea for Story Creator.
It starts with Vince McMahon announcing that he has bought out an insignificant little sports entertainment company from Orlando, Florida. He says that unlike WCW, this company was never able to compete with him, and now that it's gone, he can put those claims to rest. He's met with the president of said company and is prepared to sign the documents that would make all assets of the company his. (Starting to sound familiar?)
McMahon says that he's now going to have a live teleconference with the president to iron out any last-minute details before the purchase is made. But the person who appears on the screen is not who he expected it to be. It's not Dixie Carter, but it is in fact Shane McMahon Kurt Angle! Angle says that Dixie told him that she couldn't possibly allow Vince McMahon to purchase TNA. And having witnessed the extermination of WCW firsthand, Angle agreed. So they forged a secret business deal which turned over all of TNA's assets to the new owner of TNA, Kurt Angle.
Angle says that as his love for TNA grew, so did his hate for Vince McMahon. And he won't allow McMahon to stomp on the legacy of TNA as he did with WCW. He's going to bring a tougher fight than any other force that has opposed him before.
From here, there are several storylines across the three shows that I have in mind:
- Samoa Joe brings the Nation of Violence straight to John Cena.
- Matt Morgan gives the Ruthless Roundtable a run for their money.
- D'Angelo Dinero berates Cryme Tyme for being "walking, talking stereotypes" and turns them into his disciples.
- Sting and The Undertaker at Wrestlemania.
- AJ Styles has a main-event program with CM Punk.
Kurt Angle would be a general manager-type figure, but would remain neutral as far as heels and faces go, fighting only for the survival of TNA.

better pic of the Champion of Champions belt, credit someone on some games forum!  OK, it's not terrible, but it's certainly not replacing the whale in my dreams the old Undisputed title. best part is how the other belt plates make up the side plates. |

Yeah its not bad, but I hate the "RAW" "SD" "ECW" logos on the middle part. Looks like a bad CAB.
Thats right, THQ, I see what you did...take out that feature so only YOU can use it.

I'd hope the Strap Mask is in but I have no idea on that either. Would be good if someone could find out what the CAW parts are.
And that Endorphin/Euphoria video was amazing. That engine would suit me fine. Don't care about graphics, just slap a quick skin of each wrestler on it and I'd be happy.

That Codebreaker / Back Cracker / Lionsault is one of the coolest things ever. Hell, that whole video is. Hell, I would play a game with those graphics and just those dummies playable to do crap like that. And I'd probably have a ball doing it. agreed. i'd absolutely love to have a game just like that. hell if we ever get the codebreaker/back cracker/lionsault combo in SvR i will love THQ forever |

So, since that PS2 review said you will only be able to save 2 storylines, does that mean every time I load up Create-A-Story, there will only be 2 storylines available?

I think it means you can only save two created storylines, so if you want to create a new one, you have to delete an existing one. Which is no big deal if you plan on carrying out an epic ten-year storyline. |

I feel like if you couldn't edit the movesets, that news would have broke long ago and everyone would be bitching about it since people already have the game. I would never buy this game if you couldn't edit the movesets though. Pretty much one of the first things I do once I manage to unlock all the moves in any of these games is spend about a week editing everyones moves because they are so inaccurate the majority of the time. I hate paying a match and seeing Batista do Christians DDT on me or some shit like that. Besides, its cool to be able to give the wrestlers new moves if they bust them out on TV, or change their finishers, etc. I just hope it isn't true, it would ruin the whole game for me. The sad thing is, it would be SO THQ/Yukes to finally allow you to edit the wrestlers outfits somewhat, and then take away the ability to edit their movesets. |
