Brand vs Brand would only be interesting if there was an EPIC WAR. And WWE's roster is no longer big enough for that.

i only hope they get a low rating for Orton vs Cena hour I wouldn't worry, they'll probably get a low rating for the whole thing if their PPV sales keep tanking.

I wuold've been a lot more interested in the 7 on 7 match, which is the big attraction if you know 4 of smackdowns biggest stars weren't in a title match scheduled for that night since the SD is Jericho, 2 rookies, and 4 jobbers but let's take both world title matches off the PPV here are the teams RAW: John Cena, Randy Orton, Big Show, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Jack Swagger, and Cody Rhodes SD: Undertaker, CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, Chris Jericho, Batista, Dolph Ziggler, and Drew McIntyre that makes the teams a lot evener and makes for a much more intersting match Yeah but then you kill the rest of the card. point well taken....we'll see if I just take out the SD title match Cena vs Orton Iron Man Morrison vs Miz the Divas match team RAW DX, Mark Henry, Swagger, Kofi, Cody, Big Show vs CM Punk, Undertaker, Batista, Rey Mysterio, Chris Jericho, Dolph Ziggler, and Drew McIntyre and just add an ECW title match since tha card looks a little light Christian vs Yoshi Tatsu

You know what's wrong with the tag match? ECW's not in it.
The team of Christian, Regal, Yoshi, Goldust, Ryder, Shelton, and Dreamer is just too much for those Raw and SD scrubs to handle.

More people would give a s*** about the match if it weren't for the fatal four way taking so many of Smackdown's top names. Hell, even if they just made the World title match one on one with CM Punk and Undertaker, that frees up Rey and Batista for Team Smackdown. Jericho, Kane, Rey, Batista, Ziggler, and Cryme Tyme, and suddenly there's a team to care about. But obviously, Vince may feel a little insecure that some fans may have embraced Smackdown as the better show lately, and needs to sabotage it in the name of making his "A" show look the best.

Yeah, the draft and all of these damned trades kill the sense of brand loyalty by the wrestlers because the brands are not loyal to the wrestlers. In my mind, wrestlers should only switch brands when their contracts "expire", like Batista did. That way every roster change can be viewed as a potentially big deal, since the general managers care enough to bid for the guy changing brands.
I mean, think about it. Why should someone like Matt Hardy care about Smackdown? Over the course of less than a year he has changed brands 3 times, with him spending time on all 3 brands. Why should he care at all?

And regarding the supposed rivalry between Raw and Smackdown, I personally prefer Smackdown to Raw these days. Not for any particular wrestler (though Jericho, Punk, and no Hunter certainly don't hurt), but a better emphasis on the in-ring product and, most of all, NO F***ING GUEST HOSTS!

Assuming no one was injured right now. (And Jeff was still around)
RAW: Cena, Orton, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Big Show, Swagger, and MVP
VS
SMACKDOWN: Undertaker, Batista, Edge, Rey, CM Punk, Jericho, Morrison, and Jeff Hardy
How's that?

You have 7 vs 8 there. Add Kingston or Miz to the RAW team and you're set.

Having a yearly Draft, then having something like this to base a PPV makes no sense in the least. That logic leads to the tri brand PPVs doing the same numbers as the single brand PPVs did.

I mean, think about it. Why should someone like Matt Hardy care about Smackdown? Because that's the brand he's on now. Tribalism is not a rational phenomenon, and attempting to ascribe logical reasons for its manifestations is doomed to failure.

Didn't they show a 40 minute Cena match on free TV this week? Why do they expect me to shell out money for an hour long Cena match? It was 20. And this PPV is free over here but if it wasn't I'd still order it because what can I say, maybe I'm a mark.

The people who care are the ones who watch and order the show. I understand that you're not enthralled with the current product. But, that doesn't mean others aren't.

Who cares?
Um, me. I'm 23. I loved this week's Raw, and have been loving Smackdown. I want to see Miz Versus Morrison. I want to see the seven on seven because there are people I like in it and it might turn out to be a damn good match. Cena was great this monday, and hopefully they have big things planned for the Iron-Man match.
This thread isn't so much about loyalty or logic, more about bashing the PG WWE, which is all well and good, but the title was decieving.
