I was wondering which matches everybody felt were standout for WWE so far this year, this is my top 10, although outside the top three they are all largely interchangeable. Cena/Orton this weekend is likely to end up in there too.

7. John Cena vs Triple H RAW earlier this year
8. CM Punk vs Jeff Hardy Loser Leaves WWE match
9. Triple H vs Randy Orton WM25
10. Chris Jericho vs Steamboat, Snuka and Piper WM25

Good call, that would be just outside my top matches, but they had an awesome run together this year. I'd like to see them tie up more often in tag matches too.

Yep. These are still my top 2 as far as I'm concerned. Just behind those is the Jericho/Rey Extreme Rules match, the Edge/Hardy ladder match, and the Smackdown Elimination Chamber from No Way Out.

Taker/HBK is my #1.

#2 is one of the Rey/Jericho matches you could pick basically any one of them whenever these two locked up it was gold.

#3 is Bourne/Morrison ECW match

Basically, toss those 8 names in a hat and book yourself the world's greatest King of the Ring tournament.

I have seen minimal Raw and ECW outside of 3 PPVs (Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, Night of Champions), and I haven't been blown away by what I've seen of Raw online. ECW has been good, but I don't think my consumption has crossed path with MotY candidates.

Mysterio vs. Edge from SD! was easily the best TV match I've seen in a long, LONG time. Overall, I'd have to go with Taker/HBK. That match was just so freakin' epic. Watching it as it happened, you KNEW you were watching something utterly amazing & special. Sad to say that it may have been the last great match Taker had in him.

- Christian and Swagger's 2 matches on ECW in February
- Mysterio vs Morrison
- Morrison vs Bourne
- Legacy vs DX series (when the worst match is the Hell in a Cell one, you know it's a damn good series)

1. HBK
2. Jericho
3. Morrison
4. Punk
5. Hardy

(Rey is barely being left off this list... he could be anywhere from 3-5)

Morrison is definitely in the top three as far as Wrestler of the Year candidates go. The match he had with Hardy on Smackdown deserves a nod as well.

I'm sure Taker vs. Shawn and Rey vs. Jericho will be topping most people's lists at the end of the year. I also have to find a spot on my list for Jeff Hardy, CM Punk, Mysterio, Steamboat & Cena vs Edge, Big Show, Jericho, Matt Hardy & Kane on the Raw after Mania. It was no where near a technical classic, but it was fun to watch the other wrestlers mark out like little kids every time Steamboat was in the ring.
