Right now it's coming of as Dragon Gate protecting their biggest face. If it's not true, then fine, I'll gladly buy and watch their stuff. If your talking about Shingo, how is it protecting him? Shingo made a small commented about the abuse in his blog and how the monkey escaped and was acting weird. I just don't see how you can construct this as covering up for Shingo.

I stand corrected. I still see no damn way THAT is a legitimate way to restrain a violent monkey. And on top of that..WHY is this thing not in a zoo if it were capable of getting loose and hurting the general public in the first damn place? Well, the monkeys are very common, so even if you got rid of this monkey, others wander about in the general public anyway, largely as it makes it insanely easy for them to get food. The story behind the monkey being held like that was said to be them restraining him because he had attacked people. It's harsh, yes, but monkeys are very, very strong, so I can see where maybe it'd make one resort to a desperate maneuver. I don't think they should have grabbed him like that, but I can see where it might be a resort with something that could beat the hell out of you.

Also, here's somehihng to consider:
If RYOMA was indeed a scapegoat, what's stopping him from blabbing? At this point, he has nothing to lose, as it's doubtful any group would take him in right now for a long time.

It would make no sense for Dragon Gate to fire one of their promising rookies (RYOMA) for just bringing this to light. He'd have to be involved in this directly. My take on the part about RYOMA blogging about the monkey's "point of view" doesn't sound like an innocent act. Sounds like he dug his own grave posting about he (and possible others) abuse the monkey.

One more thing for me:
This is quite similar to the Aagan Iisou situation, as like that, we may never know the full details of what happened.

Alrighty, back to enjoying Shingo and Tozawa's work. That was a close one.

I mean, it's possible, but like you said, it does look like it was posed. Which, if that's the case, is pretty sickening.

That was a close one. not so fast. both Shingo and Araken said that Tozawa was abusing / bullying Cora. the only thing we know for sure about RYOMA was that he posted the first blogs that brought all this to light. nowhere has it been said he was involved in abusing to Cora, and Shingo's link to the involvement is over having to "restrain" Cora (we don't know if the picture her being choked is Shingo doing it, or it could very well be a picture of he posted of Tozawa abusing her)

Otherwise, things have returned to normal as far as I'm concerned.

Quick question: In many scandals, in reference to Watergate, they call it ____gate. Blagogate in reference to Blagojevich's getting in trouble.
What the hell do you call it in Dragon Gate? Dragongate?

I hope Dragon Gate gets shut down, this is unacceptable, all of this occurred in a Dragon Gate Building.

It occured in a Dragon Gate building, posted on its website without any supervision at all, Shingo and several other wrestlers were likely involved, many of the DG wrestlers can find other wrestling jobs, there's a reason it's the number one promotion.
