So, the theory is that Araken and Shingo worked an expose of this abuse? Seems that way. If so, glad that the proper people found out. I'm not saying monkeys are delicate flowers, but obviously this is a terrible way to treat any living creature.

So, the theory is that Araken and Shingo worked an expose of this abuse? Araken was the whistle blower on this. Shingo blog was mostly about how the monkey escaped and he caught it after it injured three people. There was a small comment about the abuse in there. It's not known if they worked in stereo. Also, Tozawa and Yuki Ono ARE SUSPECTED of being involved as well, although not to the extent of RYOMA apparently. This whole situation blew up a week ago in Japan so everything that's needed to be done over there has been.

I'm also curious what RYOMA has to say in his defense. If this is a cover up, it'll probably come out.

Yeah, this is getting hard for me to follow. (I'm tired and have the flu, shut up.) So I have some questions, which would clear this up fantastically for me. Who abused the monkey? Who took the pictures of the monkey abuse? Did this person do anything about it? Who posted the pictures of the monkey abuse on their blog? Did this person do anything about it? The monkey abuser was RYOMA. The picture taker was Araken. Araken did do something about it. He took the pictures and gave them to Shingo to post on his blog at the DG website. The head of DG seen Araken's pictures on Shingo's blog, and now RYOMA has been fired. The it has not been proven the abuser was RYOMA. RYOMA posted blogs about how Cora was being abused from her prospective which started all. Dragon Gate announced there was no animal abuse, and RYOMA has been "disciplined for an indefinite amount of time" (fired) for "causing all this confusion" Araken may or may not have taken the pictures (which were reportedly taken over a year ago), but he did post most of them on his own blog with the only one Shingo posting being Cora getting choked Tozawa has been named by both Araken and Shingo has being abusive to Cora

Not entirely sure, though.

I'm 90% sure RYOMA is being scapegoated. He's an expendable rookie, not the top face.
I'm 100% sure Araken had nothing to do with it.
I'm 50/50 on Shingo, Ono and Tozowa (or else why would RYOMA and Shingo finger him?) being the abusers. Tozowa probably a small bit more than Shingo (who probably felt guilty about having to retrieve the monkey- even a monkey that size is pretty strong and hard to restrain when it goes wild- the picture looks like a cell phone shot (which are normal HQ in Japan) someone took.).
Not buying Dragon Gate's statement at all. Poor RYOMA.
Either way, the only sources are poorly translated and paraphrased blogs and DG's biased blanket statement.
I know some joshi fans fluent in Japanese I could try and get to translate the blogs.
Also, I don't really think I'm going to give up on Dragon Gate USA for this. They're doing business, right now to save their asses because of morons.

Shingo's Apology: spora.jp/takagishingo/archive/961/0I would like to personally apologize.
I apologize for the misunderstanding caused by the photos of Cora posted to my blog.
For the uncomfortable feelings and trouble caused, I am very sorry.
Everyone is worried, but Cora is doing very well now, the above photo was taken a few days ago.
Though this is my own blog, I wanted to show an image of a healthy and happy Cora.
For causing our fans such great worry, I am truly very sorry.

Shingo TakagiI'm at least feeling better about him now. Hopefully he had no part in it beyond apprehending the monkey and posting the pics.

Also, the Shingo blog was posted days after the Araken blog and the situation came up in Japan (after RYOMA was fired as he hasn't been on shows recently)
If RYOMA was scapegoatted (and I don't think he was), then he would have raised a fuss over it. His silence adds to presumptions of guilt.

I'm defending Shingo based on what's come out and I believe he's not involved. That makes no sense whatsoever. The monkey picked his collar and got out. It was acting weird thus why it had the collar on in the first place. Shingo didn't defend anyone. He blogged about how he captured the monkey after it got out and starting hurting people. Nothing you have said in this thread makes any sense.

He captured the monkey and in response, his colleagues choked the monkey and burned it with firecrackers, Shingo saw it and didn't really say anything until after the punishments were given out. That is considered being an accessory.
