I was just thinking about this.
Remember Head Cheese, with Al Snow and Steve Blackman. That was one hell of a concept for a tag team. I was listening to Lance Storm's shoot, and he was talking about him and Goldust being a Head Cheese type tag team. And I was thinking, that concept of the funny guy playing off the boring guy was really something original.
Rock and Sock were an odd couple, but both were very charismatic. But that tag team combination was something new and something big. I think one of the reasons they didn't get a chance for a tag team title run was because the tag team roster was so deep in 2000, and there were so many good and over teams back then. E&C, The Dudleys, The Hardys, The APA, Too Cool, T&A and Head Cheese were all really over. So just because of that, I think Head Cheese never got the chance to be truely a successful group.
Who else would go in the category of those who had so much potential to be huge, but didn't quite reach there.

1- Tough Enough
A great concept, but destroyed by generally poor choice of "winners" and Sparky Plugg's attack on that kid.
2- Sean O'Haire's "Devil's Advocate" character.
Could have been the new "Raven" for the modern world.

I LOVED O'Haire and his Devil's Advocate gimmick. I still use the phrase "But hey, I'm not teling you anything you don't already know" often in my life while thinking about his promos. I blame Hulk Hogan. I mean... Mr. America.

O'Haire's character should have been the "logical perspective" in the WWE.
He would have:
1- Watched TV monitors while his enemies openly discussed their plans for him in front of the "fourth wall".
2- Studied his opponents by watching previously released WWE PPV's on DVD, to pick up tips and pointers.
3- Used the English language against non-English speaking monsters like Umaga, to gain a tactical advantage.
....among other things.

lmao I remember one time Al Snow was reading Blackman a poem. And Blackman was behind him you know, so like if he moved Al couldnt really see. And Blackman had the Hardcore title (24/7 rule still going), so a bunch of people just came out of no where and Blackman had his Kendo Stick and just beat up like 6 guys with it and took care of them and stuff and then just walked up behind Snow as he was finishing his poem, and acted like nothing happened. Was really funny...

The Patriot. The man had Kurt angle's music before Kurt angle damn it.
The real answer is O'haire.

Tazz in WWE
I thought he was going to get more of a Jericho-type push when he first came in.

Sean O'Haire and Tazz are two previously stated that I agree with. Another is Diamond Dallas Page. He would have gotten over huge if they'd brought him in as the "Feel the Bang" DDP and booked him properly.

The guy could have EXPLODED in the WWF......but you know, (and this is pretty much true of all the folks who've been brought up thus far) THEY WEREN'T VINCE'S IDEAS. The man will NEVER get 100% behind anything that isn't in SOME WAY his own creation. His self-esteem/huge ego won't let him.

Planet Stasiak. A guy who runs into things, goes on a losing streak & talks in rhyme. I thought that was the funniest damn thing I'd ever seen on a WWE show!
And, as usual, I'm in agreement with Rorschach.

And, as usual, I'm in agreement with Rorschach. And as usual, I LOVE your sig Maxx......is that Cindy? I can't make it out in it's small form, but she looks HOT! Back on topic..... I think that Vader could have been the WWF's next monster heel.....but again, Vader's star was born elsewhere, so he had no chance of making it big in WackeyWorld. How many GREAT talents, as a matter of fact, have suffered thusly at Vince's hands? I mean, just how many folks have had their careers flushed down the hopper because of Vince and Co's shortsightedness? And on a related note, do you think Shane ever sits there and shakes his head and goes, "THAT could've made MILLIONS, Pop!" ?

What was the Waylon Mercy gimmick? I hear so many people say how much they love it but I can't find any info on it.
