Can't wait. South Park has been like an unfaithful girlfriend that you're head over heels with for a few years now. It shows up and makes you so happy for a few weeks but then it needs it's space and goes away for awhile and you sit there waiting for it to come back and make you happy again.

Someone on this forum totally had the idea for them to do a dead celebrities episode like a month ago.
so meh. they did one ultra-topical episode with the americans capturing sadaam, where the actual event occured just days prior to the episode airing, but every one since then has been unnecessary and comparitively outdated.
i'll watch, but i still wonder why, if they can turn around an episode in a week, can't they do more than 12 episodes a year? It sucks that new south parks come on in october and march, but are over by november or may. what the f*** else are those f***ers doing?

That sure had topical timing Yeah, but that kind of proves the point. They can pop out episodes rather quickly, so why not make it either year round or nearly year round? Why small bursts? What the f*** are they doing the other 8 or so months? They certainly aren't making episodes.

The turnaround on the election episode though would have been pretty labour intensive, they couldn't exactly do that every week.

The turnaround on the election episode though would have been pretty labour intensive, they couldn't exactly do that every week. They most certainly can. An episode of Inside Xbox(on the Xbox 360) went inside the studio and they said the turnaround for most of their episodes is only...3 days. They most certainly can make weekly episodes every week. Just make everyone work those 3 days and give them the other 4 days of the week off.

I remember reading that Stone and Parker go on drunken retreats where they "brainstorm" ideas for a week, but actually just get plastered and make episodes when they get back.

I'm glad it's back....at least it doesn't take forever for new episodes to air unlike my other favorite animated series the Boondocks...

Im not saying they should at all, but if your talking cost, then somehow I dont think South Park is that expensive to produce Im just glad they are getting those stupid Ghost Hunter shows tonight. God I hate those shows. Just so unnecessary and annoying...
