*SPOILERS FOR PEOPLE FROM THE US AND OTHER NON-UK COUNTRIES!!!!*
So then what did anyone who watched think of the episode? I loved it, the water zombies were the first truely creepy bad guys since the gas mask child in my opinion.
However was I the only one who felt it got really.... REALLY dark towards the end? Not that that's a bad thing I like my things dark, but for a family show inferred suicide in kinda dark.
And The Doctor believeing he was almost a god for a few minutes was just brilliant. I'm gonna miss Tennant.
And how great does the Christmas 3-parter look? ;D ;D

I'm very excited about this, and can't wait till it airs in America. And also, I'm so pumped for Tennant's three part send off. It looks amazing. It took me forever to realize who "He will knock four times" referred to, and I felt like an idiot once I got it.

Just to let you know guys, David Tennant has two more episodes, not three.
And yeah, the "Time Lord Victorious" at the end was a bit of a shock but he has hinted at having those tendacies before, even when the Time Lords were around to regulate him. Remember how vengeful and God-like the Seventh Doctor was?

It was a cool "power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely" type deal.
They should use it more, Mccoy did it in some of his episodes but they axed it before we got to see more of it (IF they were gonna carry it on)

Well I assume with the Seventh Doctor that it was all part of the "Cartmel Masterplan". bUt yeah, the show was axed and it was never resolved.

I thought it was very good.
Adelaide Brooke ended up being one of the best one-off companions, her final scenes with the Doctor were brilliant. I loved full-of-himself Doctor, however brief it had to be, but the absolute fear the Doctor showed at the end looked really odd. The brief scene in which Steffi got infected was the best part of the show for me; she knew she was going to die so played the video with her children (or sisters? She looked quite young) and just broke down. That was just heartbreaking. I liked most of the smaller characters, which is good because often they can be very irritating. Roman was annoying but I liked Mia and Yuri (especially Yuri, he was very happy go lucky). Gemma Chan (who played Mia) was absolutely drop dead gorgeous.
The next episode also looks promising (I was a huge Donna Noble fan after Turn Left so I look forward to her returning). Anyone know the air dates of the final Tennant episodes?

Amazing! Really dark and genuinely tense. I absolutely loved the new sinister side to the Doctor. So well acted and written that seeing my favourite character take such a dark turn was seriously scary.

Heel turn!
This episode was great, the atmosphere that Doc left behind as everyone was frantic and panicking was so nerve-racking as were the monsters. I don't always have much faith in RTD, but Children of Earth proved me wrong and this episode is another showcase. Dark Doctor was awesome, it's too bad he only popped up right at the end of Ten's term.
Trailer for End of Time, oh boy. I absolutely cannot wait a whole month for a snark war between Donna and Master.

Anyone know the air dates of the final Tennant episodes? The End of Time airs on Christmas Day. It's unclear when the as yet unnamed swansong for David Tennant will air, possibly New Year's Day. End of Time trailer:

That was brilliant. The Doctor being arrogant was very different.
It's probably strange for some but i thought Water Zombie Andy looked similer to Jerry Lawler.

I loved the heel turn, especially the "little people" line, it just shows how much he needs his companions to keep him in check.
Some confusing parts though, why didn't he drop the astronauts in another time and pretend they died on Mars and what is the deal with the ood showing up?
FInally I liked the four knock tease and it being called Bowie Base.

FInally I liked the four knock tease and it being called Bowie Base. ***slight spoilerage*** although major ones are ****** *** first, he didn't do it FIRES OF POMPEII second, yes ..... not having anyone to remind him that he ISN'T all powerful was the reason that he went all omnipresent on everyones bottoms see RUNAWAY BRIDE the main story WAS about him and the choices that was made by him (loved the double DOUBLE back, as he tried to choose to help them or not ..... in out in out in out MAKE YOUR MIND UP ;D the story that adelaide told about the dalek was quite touching knowing how they did the whole water thing was good too (anyone who saw CONFIDENTIAL afterwards on BBC3 will know) adelaide knowing that her fate is, and following it through was a stab in the heart(s), and then DR knew he had "crossed the line" ..... but then him seeing *** ***** (ironically in the **** too) was a surprise! perhaps his mind reminding him! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ********* oh and from JOURNEYS END ..... who is "the most faithful companion" ..... or is it who? ?? the final two parter is going to be a CRACKER!!! but maybe shouldn't have shown *** ****** in it ..... but they did, so do they have surprises waaaaaaay up their sleeves!!!!

For all we know it could be another Time Lord. But I would love to see Rasillon or Omega return.

But whats with the "four" knocks? That's what has baffled me.
It wont happen, but it would be nice if the show ever did return to Gallifrey* in how it would look in the nuWho.
*=I know I know, but how many times have the Daleks/Cybermen/etc. have been exterminated into extinction, only to return by some wonky technobabble nonsense?

I'm assuming it was The Master, because, at the time of his last appearance, he had the constant habit of beating out a four note drum beat, hence "He will knock four times".

Hmm, let's see. Most of the old series stories don't count because the Doctor just foiled their plot, there was no indication that he wiped them all out, so we were to take it there was still Daleks out there because the writers deliberately left that opening for future stories. Also taking out Doomsday (the Cult of Skaro escapes) and Evolution of the Daleks (Dalek Caan escapes), off the top of my head the stories where the Daleks are given a definitive end are: Evil of the Daleks (1) Rememberance of the Daleks (2) Dalek (3) (The Daleks were supposed to have been destroyed in the Time War but we didn't know until that episode and besides, the Doctor's dialogue at the end means we are to take that as the conclusion of the Time War) Parting of the Ways (4) Journey's End (5) On the other hand the Cybermen, the original Cybermen that is, were wiped out "forever" just the once to my knowledge (in Silver Nemesis) and that seems to have stuck. And for the record, the Master has been killed off at least four times now and has returned every time.
