Rickey Henderson's 1,406 stolen bases will probably be safe for a long, long time. yeah, I think Rickey's will stand the test of time, possibly moreso than any baseball record of the past 50 years. I mean, you'd have to average 100 stolen bases for 14 seasons, and you'd still end up 6 short of tying. Its crazy.

I don't think anyone is going to touch Cal Ripken Jr's record of consecutive games anytime soon. He was truly an Iron Man.

The '74 Dolphins' Championship run. People get close (New England Patriots), but I doubt it's ever going to happen. I hope it never does because Mercury Morris is gold when a team gets close.

The guy that tightrope walked across the World Trade Center. (With all due respect). In terms of height and increased security in high rise buildings I don't see that happening.

No artist will ever sell as many records as The Beatles.
And I doubt any album will stay on the Billboard 200 for longer than the 14 consecutive years that Dark Side Of THe Moon spent on there.

I'm the longest living person with the name James William Anderson to be born on 25th November 1989. No one will ever take that away from me Not if you count the mirror universe version of you who doesn't die in a time machine malfunction in 2003 He's called Steve.

It's actually 56, but I agree that it'll never be broken I stand corrected, thanks. (4 hours sleep will do that to you. ) To think right after that streak was broken, Joltin' Joe rattled off another 28-game hit streak. That's a hit in 84 out of 85 games. (I think it was 84, I know it was something ridiculous.) The '74 Dolphins' Championship run. People get close (New England Patriots), but I doubt it's ever going to happen. I hope it never does because Mercury Morris is gold when a team gets close. 'Twas 1972 my friend. My record of choice: Chief Wilson's record of 36 triples in a single-season, set in 1912. The players who have come closest (in the 20th century): Joe Jackson (1912), Sam Crawford (1914) & Kiki Cuyler (1925) all had 26. The closest anybody of recent vintage was Curtis Granderson, who hit 23 in 2007, which was the most in 11 years (Lance Johnson hit 21 in 1996). I would say his record is pretty much safe. Rare is the player who hustles out of the box to get a triple; they're satisfied with an easy two-bagger.

Wilt Chamberlain. 20,000 women. I guess on the same line, what about his 100 point game.

Wilt Chamberlain. 20,000 women. I guess on the same line, what about his 100 point game. More on Wilt, specifically from 1961-62: Averaged 50.3 points a game, 27.2 rebounds a game, and played an average of 48.5 minutes a game. That's averaging MORE than a full game. And, never in his career did Wilt foul out of a game. Never.Who the heck is going to break those records?

Wilt Chamberlain. 20,000 women. While he often made that claim (which is ridiculous and humanly impossible), he was a bachelor his entire life. For his claim to be true, he'd had to have done over 8 women a week from age 15 until his death. While there is no doubt he WAS a womanizer, he didn't do 20,000 of 'em.

First one that came to me was the 56 game hit streak.
Second was the 73 home runs.
Third was the 100 points.

All football/soccer/whatever:
Gary Linker going his whole career without a booking, refs are more fussy these days so I can't see it happening again.
Mazaropi's 1,816 minutes clean sheet record due to the more lightweight balls (I think he still has it).
I also don't think Arsenal's unbeaten season or Reading's 106 points will be matched/topped but they're possibilities.

DAMMIT!!!! I wanted to say Dark Side Of The Moon's record! But, yeah, especially in the Internet age, Pink Floyd will have record probably forever.

Ted Williams' .406 Batting average. What are you talking about? That's not the single season record. It's just the last time .400 was broken.

Chan Ho Park's record of 1 win in a single game. Try breaking that record! (<_<)

Impossible/relivers/closers...yeah haha to them. Karem Abdul Jabbar's American pro sports record 6 MVP trophies might be untouchable too. I mean if Michael friggin Jordan couldn't match that, who in the NBA could? . Ummmmmmmmmm, Gretzky's 9 Hart Trophies, 8 on a row breaks that record. Glenn Hall's 502 consecutive starts as goalie, not missing a single second of game time, will never, ever, ever, ever, ever, be broken. It's his until the universe is done and beyond that too. Gretzky's other records that won't be touched..actually, just read this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_career_achievements_by_Wayne_GretzkyThere's maybe a few that will be, but the majority will stand. Also, Bobby Orr finishing the season +128 will never, ever be touched.
