My favorite Playstation franchise. These days I usually like to play games like GTA or Fallout 3, but Ratchet & Clank just does something for me that no other video franchise can.
I know this board is more 360 based, and I'm no exception, but surely alot of you also loved the Ratchet games back in the PS2 era.
So appreciate away!

I only had the first one and enjoyed it much better than Sly Cooper. I liked the weapon that sucked up a small enemy and you can shoot without ever having to buy ammo. But I found the Tesla Claw weapon to be WAY overpriced.

How is the newest game? I'm getting it for Xmas so hope it lives up to the rep the past games have established.

I love this series! I don't own a PS3, but if I ever buy one, it'll only be to play the Ratchet & Clank games.
The original three were works of art and so much fun. I bought the one that was originally on PSP after it was ported to PS2, but I really didn't care for it. There were too many camera issues and the graphics just didn't seem to match up to the originals (not surprising since it was originally on PSP). But how I long to play the games on PS3.

I adore them, they are like 3-d Megaman done right.
ANd Crack in Time is fantastic, better than the other PS3 games.

Amazing games. It's one series that just keeps getting better as it goes.

Yeah, A Crack in Time is great. Especially the puzzles.

Yeah, A Crack in Time is great. Especially the puzzles. Only problem I have with Crack in Time is the ship combat. They're a major step down.

My favorite of the PS2 games was Going Commando, allthough Up Your Arsenal was awesome too.

I knew about the R&C games last generation, but didn't play any of them. I picked up ToD cheap some time last year and it sat on my shelf for months. Eventually I loaded it up and ended up loving it. Absolutely superb.
Got the newest game yesterday for half price. Had the wrong price sticker on it. Result!

Played the first game once and really didn't like it for some reason. Maybe I'll give it another chance.

Yeah, and Tools of Destruction was probably my second least favorite. It felt like a step back after Arsenal.

I got the special edition PSP that came with their game.
Yeah, I'm not crazy about it.

you need two joysticks to really make the game work. The PSP game is ok, but it lost all the magic of its big brothers.

Secret Agent Clank exists too, but I hear its pretty mediocre. It is ok, the check point system blows though. Fail once and you can have a whole lot to redo.

I got Tools of Destruction a couple of weeks ago, liked it so much I bought Quest for Booty a couple of days later. Unfortunately I couldn't fit my PS3 in my case when I was coming home for Christmas, so I can't finish either of them until January. But I just got a PSP and I'm about to start Size Matters.
I honestly feel bad for not trying these games sooner. I may have to find a few of the PS2 games at some point.
