And said it too damn slow, blast you. Also, I found an Instructable on the penny fix. Even if my Xbox was past warranty, I would never, ever include instructions that include: Step 8: PRAY. 1.) I'm the McGuiver type, so taking apart a 360 to save myself money is right up my alley. 2.) I don't pray very often, if at all.

Yeah, I heard about this. I got an avatar related email from them but sadly, there wasn't a code. Not sure if it was a random giveaway or you had to do something or what. I did change my style finally, though... whenever it updates. THE LUCHADORK. Your avatar has chick curves. Yeah. That's what happens when you set an av to the skinniest setting. Which realistically, I have to do. Sadly, I have no chick curves. If I did, I wouldn't have to worry about keeping my pants up.

Sadly, I realized my tiny shelf has gotten too full for 360 games. I really should trade in Rock Band now that I transferred all the songs over to 2. And unload a few bargain titles I've beaten like Kameo and Prey.

I did the penny thing and it worked just fine. Not much else you can do without a Warranty and a broken 360.

Glad I picked up ACII. Well worth the $30 I dropped on it. In fact, this definitely seems worth it's full price so far. I never played the first so with that said... the story is definitely understandable and great so far. Some of the tutorial stuff is a bit boring, but at least they award you with some chivos (You get 20 for walking a very short distance and pressing maybe three or four buttons. Then you get some more for other meaningless stuff.) The puzzles that are mixed in are cool. Plus, the graphics are beautiful.
Overall, the game reminds me a little of Prototype with climbing buildings, blending in and avoiding guards... some Morrowind with sneaking, shops, roof jumping and a bit of the towns... and some GTA in that there's a bit of sandbox element to it, but you have to do certain missions to unlock more of the areas. So hopefully there's no RC plane missions to piss me off.
The only real annoyance to me is the reverse jump. I keep accidentally hitting the a button and crashing a few stories to my death when I just wanted to climb. I'd have my feet against the building or on a small ledge and just think I could jump up. To be honest, I haven't seen a use for the hanging jump at all. Even in alleys that are small enough to use it, you can just climb to the top of the roof and leap over and it's way easier to judge distance and the timing is fairly easy and forgiving (if you go to jump too late, your guy stops at the edge of the building)

Just downloaded the demo for "Army Of Two: The 40th Day." If anyone wants to tear it up on that one, let a brutha know.

Here's hoping the Ravens and Broncos lose out and the Steelers win their next two. The Ravens have the Raiders. Broncos have KC. Not impossible given the way the Raiders have played some of their games and the way the Broncos have played have played some of theirs. I'm just glad the Eagles clinched another, given the injuries. Although, it's nice to have won most of the games without key players. Anyway back on topic... I'm still digging the hell out of ACII. I seldom bother with fast travel, especially in Tuscany. Riding a horse through the green grasses and the gold-ish yellow roads paths and buildings from the sun is beautiful.

^I used to do that with Elder Scrolls IV, it was just fun traveling around the world on your horse. Not so much fun when your horse got eaten by bears though.

I stole horses and roamed a lot of the area early on. Once I bought my own, not so much. I'd only take them out if I thought it was quicker than teleporting to the closest place and walking. ACII isn't totally connected, so there's not as much exploring to do. You ride off into the sunset when leaving areas and then ride back in. There's one countryside area that the horses were really handy, as you do map out the areas. Apparently you can attack on a horse, but I haven't tried it yet. I usually keep my notoriety down which keeps the guards off me. When I do have to kill them, I usually hire some goons to do the dirty work.

So Shadow Complex was the deal of the week this week, 800 funbucks down from 1200. I bought it as I can't resist a bargain, but does anyone know if it is any good?

So I just got an e-mail stating that my Gold membership will be expiring 3 January. I should be getting back from California around the 9th, and hopefully should receive the new code in the mail from Amazon.
Anyone new (short of myself, Joker, MaDaBa, MC, Motley, and Ratings) have L4D2 yet? A few friends of mine from Tech might be joining us, but we need more people.

Yes, Shadow Complex is an incredible game, not to mention satisfying. You'll have lots of fun with it.
By the way, I'll need a quick answer to this one: today's New Year's deal is the direct-to-DVD movie Stargate: Continuum for 80 MS Points, which translates out to $1.00. Should I get it and review it for TGWTG? For the record, I have no idea as to what Stargate is about; I've never seen a second of it in any capacity.
