I just want to say that when it's all said and done Ed Brubaker on Cap will be seen in the same light as Chris Claremont on X Men or Frank Miller's Daredevil.

I just want to say that when it's all said and done Ed Brubaker on Cap will be seen in the same light as Chris Claremont on X Men or Frank Miller's Daredevil. I hope so. I only follow a few books right now due to money restrictions, but from what I've read of Brubaker's run on Cap, its' been oustanding. And I know it's a little early to say it about this series, but I feel like Secret Warriors might be deserving of that honor if the quality of the book continues.

Oh yeah Secret Warriors kicks all kinds of ass. I picked it up because I'm a Fury fan, and wasn't expecting much from the rest of the cast, but Phobos, Quake, and particularly Druid(what an asshole) have completely gotten me hooked on the concept.

Meh Immortal Iron Fist, Marvel Adventures Spider-Man ,and Guardians of the Galaxy beat all those for best title IMO. And Iron man had a great moment when his robot will thingy was telling Thor and crew what to do to bring him back, he told them flat out that while some bad things happened during Civil War and that it agonizes him everyday he lost so many friends he wasn't willing to apologize for taking his stance. In the original Script Bucky and Thor tried to say something about it but Cap said that he felt the same way personally and that if they wanted to call Tony out they would need to call him out to.

Just wanted to come in and say that the latest issue of Invincible Iron Man features both Bucky and Steve in their respective Capt. America costumes at the same time. Remember in one of the volumes of the Runaways Nico scans future Gertie's mind and we see two captain americas? Yeah, it's all coming true baby! Now where's Iron Woman?

If Cap is finally back as Cap, then I just may need to start getting back into comics.

I will never question whether I am a nerd or not.
All I have to do is look on these forums and I know I'm not even close.

Nah, I mean, sure there may be degrees of nerdity; but anyone that is such a fan of wrestling they join a messageboard to discuss it has quite a bit of nerd in 'em.

Several issues back, Pepper Potts discovered a suit made specifically for her by Tony. She's been using it every so often, under the name Rescue, since then.

What's amusing is that both Captain America and Batman, who died at roughly the same point in time only to have their former teenage sidekicks take over the role, are actually both unstuck in time. You know what would be funnier? If Cap and Bats were to come out of that time warp, except in each other's bodies. Therefore, Bruce Wayne would be Cap, and Steve Rogers would be Batman. That'd be a wacky crossover.

I have enjoyed the Ed Brubaker run on Captain America, but Claremont's and Miller's runs were much more significant. Not only did they change how their respective titles were perceived, but their styles affected how comic book stories were told. The current Cap arc doesn't come close to doing that.

I mean, hell I even like him more than bendis because atleast he has his characters do something every now and then besides sit around and talk.

If Cap is finally back as Cap, then I just may need to start getting back into comics. It's really a good time to get back into Marvel. Steve Rogers is back, Spider-Man is no longer bogged down by a decade of sloppy writing, and Tony Stark's body is being "rebooted" for lack of a better term. Basically I'm under the impression that they're undoing all of the Extremis stuff and turning him into something more in line with the film version of Iron Man, which is cool by me. Anyhow, I'm really pumped about Rogers return and the inevitable reunion of the classic Avengers line-up.

Actually I'm pissed they got rid of Extremeis and hoping Cap does not become Cap again and lets Bucky have it.

Basically, the quick run through of it is, the event is One More Day/Brand New Day for Spider-Man. We can no longer talk about it, because every discussion in the past has led to people ripping into and harshly bashing Joe Quesada, who, if you don't remember, is Madison's boss. That's why we can't talk about it. That, and a few other reasons that I won't go into. Already walking dangerously about this subject as is. That's.......pretty stupid that we can't talk about it because Joey Q is Mads boss *No disrespect, I must be one of 5 Spidey fans that doesn't hate Joe Q* but whatever. So Madison works for Marvel? Because that is what it sounds like to a guy who doesn't know squat about comics, Marvel, and Madison outside bits here or there. WHAT!?!

I really hope that NOBODY is influenced by Bendis because the extent of his "brilliance" seems to be writing everyone grossly out of character so he can tell his bad fan fiction "critically acclaimed" (by who exactly?) stories.

I just want him to stop being the Marvel universes' scape-goated whipping boy. And seeing a return to a classic Avengers line-up of Cap, Thor, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Hawkeye, and Quicksilver (or something similar) would fill me with joy. They're the reason I got into comics, after all. If the Avengers aren't the Avengers and all of my favorite characters are dead, replaced, or not represented in the way I've always cared about them, then there's no point in spending my hard-earned cash.

So in all these years you've only read stuff with the good ole boys nothing else? You don't wanna see anyone else step up? No offense but it's because of stuff like that characters constantly revert back to how they were or we never get lasting change *The Flash bulls*** going on at DC a good example*. [ Brubaker is a MUCH better writer than Bendis. I really hope that NOBODY is influenced by Bendis because the extent of his "brilliance" seems to be writing everyone grossly out of character so he can tell his bad fan fiction "critically acclaimed" (by who exactly?) stories. Bendis is a good writer, really good, it's just that New Avengers *Really the only bad Avengers title right now* sucks so bad that it's colored everyone's opinion of the guy. Hell people ignore every single good piece fo work he's done just to harp on Avengers.
