If Orton can kick a guy in the head and take guys out for months at a time, I can believe CM Punk kneeing a guy to the head and knocking him out for the three count. Agreed 100 percent. I originally didn't like the GTS, but now that they're insisting that moves like the SCF and Zig-Zag can knock a guy out, I really don't see what's so bad about throwing a guy off your shoulders and hitting him with a knee.

I'm pretty sure most guys land on their feet before taking the GTS and are completely safe before they sell the knee. Breaking a nose isn't exactly a sign of a great move. What would make Cena's execution less "lazy"? I genuinely want to know. He already throws them down. There's not much else to do with it. Exactly, because it just isn't a good finisher.

He ought to make it an actual fireman's carry powerslam instead of just throwing guys off of his shoulder back-first with a regular slam. If he did that, I could buy it as a finisher, not just the thing that's followed by the STF.

CM Punk's GTS often looks very weak. At least Cena gets some nice height on the AA and makes for a good visual.

I just think they should change the name. Not everyone "sleeps" from a knee to the face. "Go To Knee", "Go To Kneepad", "Here Comes My F-ing Knee". Any of these would be a fine name change.

I don't think we'd be having this discussion if people just sold the move better. I think part of the problem with the GTS, is that it is a tough move to sell properly. It relies so heavily on NOT getting your face smashed in that I'm sure alot of guys hold back a bit when selling it, just for their own safety.

He really ought to change it to "Go Directly to Jail; Do Not Pass Go, Do Not Collect 200 Dollars." Rolls right off the tongue.

Anyone who thinks the GTS looks "weak" has obviously never been hit in the face by someone's knee. It doesn't take a whole lot of impact for the knee to do some damage to the face, specifically the nose, so a lot of it is in the sell.

Hey, as a big Muay Thai mark I love knee strikes, but CM Punk's GTS knee just doesn't look as painful as Regal's Knee Tremblor or even Punk's own Knee-to-bulldog.

Rey Mysterio legitimately got his nose busted open from the GTS. I haven't seen the FU do anything of the kind. I was going to say that the go to sleep is a lot more dangerous in terms of botching the move. If punk is off by just a little, he's going to seriously hurt whoever he is doing the move to. I'm actually think it's one of the most dangerous moves they allow and I'm surprised more people don't get hurt with it. The FU is almost impossible to screw up. There really is no comparison.

Honestly I'm not a huge fan of either move,
The FU/AA/Throwback at least doesn't require a certain size worker to pull off effectively and believably. It's more simple than a finisher should be but it's simplicity, to me at least, is what makes it effective.
The GTS/G2S seems less believable if only because of the size of Punk's opponents. WWE's "Big Man" philosophy combined with the Off the shoulder set-up makes the move look silly. I think that the move could benefit from a Military press drop or a "Free-Fall Drop" setup into the knee, or dropping the move altogether and going back to solely the Anaconda Vice.

Honestly I'm not a huge fan of either move, The FU/AA/Throwback Isn't the Throwback his running neck-snap?

Yes, but before it became the Attitude Adjustment the F-U was supposed to inherit the name according to JR. One sign of this is in the new SvR - in one cutscene Trips refers to the F-U as the Throwback.

And it WAS the "Throwback" for about 2 weeks after the STF-U became the STF
