Its been about 4 years since Eddie passed away. 4 years ago this day i was in shock when Eddie died, he was my favorite wrestler on Smackdown at the time and i really enjoyed his gimmick. Use this thread to share favorite eddie moments/what you think would have happened to him ect

That's an interesting question....had he lived, what would Eddie be doing now? Would he be retired? Would he be the SD GM? I'd have marked like HELL for an Eddie GM role.
Tangentially related question: If Eddie hadn't of passed away...would things have turned out as bad for Benoit?

Tangentially related question: If Eddie hadn't of passed away...would things have turned out as bad for Benoit? i believe that if Eddie had lived he would've won the title at least once more and would probably either be in Christian's role on ECW or helping get Morrison and the Smackdown midcarders over. i also believe that if he had lived then Benoit would not have done what he did. Eddie was one of the true friends Benoit had and i believe when Eddie died Benoit changed (i have no proof supporting this theory its just the way i feel)

Four years already? How time flies. I still miss Eddie so much though. Would have loved to seen him against Punk if he was still alive.

Tangentially related question: If Eddie hadn't of passed away...would things have turned out as bad for Benoit? I believe that if Eddie were still alive, Benoit would be also. Looking back on their friendship, I get the feeling that Eddie's passing made Benoit's decision's easier to make. Had Eddie been around I think Eddie would've talked him out of what he did. Benoit even mentioned something during the Eddie tribute on Raw about how Eddie would "Talk him out of it.." before he broke down. I also feel like part of Benoit's suicide justification was to be with Eddie. On a more positive note, I think that if Eddie had lived, that him and Benoit would both still be wrestling. I also feel that they'd both be main eventers on whatever brand they were on.

I miss Eddie so much. He was such a happy person and you could feel the passion he had for this business every single time he walked through that curtain. If he was still alive, I think he may not still be with company, and retired by now, I'm not sure, but it just sickens me how the Guerrero name is treated right now. RIP Eddie. Viva La Raza!

but it just sickens me how the Guerrero name is treated right now. The Guerrero name is still respected. Chavo has always been a joke and Vickie is seen as betraying the name and that's why she's a huge heel.

Well yeah but Chavo deserves so much better, and not just because of his last name, but because he is a great talent. Vickie betraying the name can really make casual fans forget about Eddie and all he did for the company. If they wanted people to remember the Guerrero name in the future as a highly-respected and talented family, then they're going the wrong way. Instead, younger fans will know the name as pretty much one big joke.

See his WCW Cruiserweight title run as an example. The guy has talent, charisma, and can get himself over, when he's not being given WrestleCrap gimmicks.

Time does really go by fast. Honestly I do miss Eddie, he was one of my favorite wrestlers. I still remember his antics of the LWO to this day.

I think Eddie would've had a classic match with HBK and right now he'd be an upper midcarder who was mostly being used to make the stars since it would've been the twilight of his career.
Benoit would've never been on the anti-depression medication and his mental state wouldn't have deteriorated as quickly and Eddie would've probably helped Benoit get clean from whatever he may have been on (possible pain killer addiction) and there would be 3 more people in this world with Benoit as their last name.
Chavo IMO would've been released by now, not due to lack of talent, but due to the character of Kerwin White not getting over at all which he would've kept playing if Eddied didn't die.
We'd know Vickie Guerrero as the woman who helped Rey get custody of Dominic and not much more would've came from her as she would probably be at home full time raising her family like she was doing before Eddie died.
This is what I think would've happened had he not died.

He'd still be putting on classic matches and awesome "moments" and Chris Benoit the child-killer would just be Chris Benoit the wife-abuser.

Four years already? How time flies. I still miss Eddie so much though. Would have loved to seen him against Punk if he was still alive. I know he had a triple thread against Rey Mysterio and Punk in a IWA indy show in 2001. I'm also sure he had one on matches as well. I think you can find them on youtube or dailymotion. But I really miss Eddie. I can't believe it's been four years. I was so sad when I heard about it and they had a TNA PPV on the same day that I watched with my wrestling friends and reading the Raw and SD tapings on the Eddie Guerrero tribute show results. I know it doesn't sound much but it was a whirlwind of emotions of a day that wouldn't end.

Damn, I can't believe it's been 4 years already. I remember just staring at the computer screen and crying when I found out. I couldn't believe it.
I still really miss Eddie

That was more of a one on one between Eddie and Punk actually. Mysterio just got involved at the end. I don't know why videos of that match always say it's a triple threat.
