Anyone got the Youtube link to the video that was shown on RAW? Heard about it and it sounds awesome...

I didn't know what was worse. Jay-Z or Black Eyed Peas on Raw. Give me generic nu-metal anytime.

I liked the video personally. I was surprised just how many amazing moments MSG has had. Heck my favourite PPV ever Survivor Series 2002 was held there.

You didn't see it? Missed out, really. It was no "Lonely Road" or "My Sacrifice", but yet another example of WWE taking a song that isn't my thing or anything and making it perfect with one of the best video packages wrestling can produce.

Two things jumped out at me in that video: Owen Hart and Kurt Angle. Owen, becuase you almost never see footage of him, and Kurt becuase while it was his match against Eddie Guerrero, the chunk of footage shown was a bit longer than I expected it to go.

an absolute stellar video package, and one that happily reminds me why I'm a wrestling fan and will always be no matter what.

I didn't know what was worse. Jay-Z or Black Eyed Peas on Raw. Give me generic nu-metal anytime. I disagree wholeheartedly. I don't mean any disrespect at all, nor do I want to turn this into a race issue, but I get sick of all of the heavy metal bullcrap that I have to endure with them every week. It was a nice change of pace. As a proud African-American, there was a time when I wondered if WWE had ever heard a song done by an African-American artist. Every month, it seems to be, "We would like to thank Saliva, Evanescence, Drowning Pool, etc. for the PPV theme." Don't get me wrong, I appreciate all types of music. In fact, I await the day that a farewell video is accompanied by country music star, George Strait's, "The Cowboy Rides Away." However, it was a nice change of pace.

I was hoping for Shawn to not approve of that Pedigree and the beginning of a Triple H heel turn. Oh, well.

Speaking of Survivor Series 2002, it is the seventh anniversary of the show today! Back to the original topic, I did have goosebumps watching it, but with the quite literally s****y day I had, I got depressed awful fast on not being there. I think for the Forums, thats an original reason to hate RAW, eh? LOL! The Royal Rumble from 08 will always live in me as the greatest live experience ever. My DVD, signed by Roddy Piper, Ron Simmons, and Ric Flair has its own section on my DVD case above a bookshelf, and I'm afraid to open it!!

WWE being set to hip hop was a nice change of pace. correct me if Im wrong but was the last hip hop song WWE had featured back in Wrestlemania 2000?? Rap-Metal dont count.

I hadn't watched Raw since around August and the only reason I did last night was because my wife is sick I was up, alone and bored. I hadn't been boycotting it or anything, I just hadn't been interested. But I am glad I did, because like Clifford said, it was one of those things that make you glad to be a wrestling. It was such a nice package and even with all the ridiculously silly stuff on the show now days, it was a great reminder of what it's all about. I smiled all by myself in my living room when they showed Eddie. And as for the song, I couldn't have imagined a greater tribute to MSG and WWE. It was SO refreshing to hear something that wasn't the typical nu-metal. Plus I got to admit, I absolutely LOVE this song.

The song fit perfectly, in fact it may be my favorite video WWE has ever done which is definitely saying a lot considering the number of great ones they have put out. I really liked it. I hate most of the music WWE uses because its the same nu metalish sounding crap over and over and over, despite the fact that: 1. Nu metal sucks [yeah I know this is only my opinion but whatev] 2. Nu metal fizzled out and was outed as the fad it was. It would be like WWE setting vids to ska music. I would rather have real rap and hip hop, not that lame rap metal garbage. Whoever picked the song knew what they were doing. At least I could show my girlfriend this video today and have her actually pay attention since they used a good song for once.

The use of the song sucked IMO, because, since I live in NY, they don't stop playing that god damn song on the radio. At work the guys have on Hot 97 and they play the song twice an hour

I didn't really care for the video myself, but then that's more because these little history promo packages usually do nothing for me. Still, consensus is that it was good so guess it was.

I really liked it and it was basically a perfect fit.
I was really surprised that they actually choose a rap song for that package, since they always go for the same old Metallica/Saliva/Linkin Park type songs. Diversity is nice, because not all rap is garbage about money, cars, and women, just like not all rock songs are about cutting yourself or daddy issues. There's good and bad with everything, you just have to bother to look for it.

Since I listen to this song about 40 times a day on my Ipod I really liked the promo package.
IN NEW YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORK! And I never understood how people only like certain music and not even give other music a shot. For god sakes, I have 2 Pac, Drowning Pool, David Guetta, Eric Prydz and some hardcore speedcore on my Ipod, IMAGINE THAT!
