OMG, YES!!! LAURA IS VOTED OFF.... FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have no idea how loud I shouted in praise of this this week. I think it might've been louder than last week when Laura won immunity. God that sucked, didn't it? Today is gonna be a good day I think, and it is all due to how Survivor has just made me feel at the conclusion of the most recent tribal council! This guy may have no peer as far as playing this game goes when all is said and done. He's absolutely unbelievable. The morons were following him to make sure he didn't find that immunity, so fat Russell out ran FITNESS GURU DAVE and found it after giving him the slip. Something about that is so hilarious to me. I thought that was funny too.

That Shambo chick is a dumb c-word. Thankfully she has no hope in winning.

Show is exciting, but ticked me off a bit. I really wanted to root for the Galu, but they are eating themselves up one by one. Rocket Scientist John is a conceited moron. He is the real poison eating up the Galu tribe. He is partly to blame for the first Galu Erik, to be eliminated, with his obsession to vote off fellow Galu, the supposedly 'stupid, and weak' Monica, instead of voting off Foa Foa one by one. So now he betrays Galu, and votes off Laura, all because he is scared that his own head was on the chopping block of votes, even though it was simply a ruse. He is also scared that he might be eliminated in the case of the Rock Tie Breaker. This guy seriously thinks he's the mastermind strategist here, just because he is a Rocket Scientist, and thinks everyone else is stupid. Sure he bought himself a few more days in the game, but for sure he isn't winning now, after cutting ties with his own tribe, and being a minority to the Foa Foa's. He's on everyone's chopping block, especially for being a challenge threat and probably won't get votes if he makes it to the end. I predict he'll be the next to get voted off. I understand what you're saying but I'm not ready to commit to it taking that path. Granted, we haven't seen anything but I feel like it was at least a little telling that Monica picked John to be the pawn, so to speak, in the ruse. No one argued with that fact because hell, they don't want it to be them. I wouldn't want it to be me either. That whole thing completely opens the door for them to do to him what he wound up doing to them first. What if Foa Foa + Sham bought that lie hook, line and sinker? All it would have taken was for one of them to decide to get rid of him instead. Whether they're smart enough to think of that, I don't know, but never underestimate anyone. The rock tie-breaker? I wouldn't let it get down to that if I could possibly help it. I wouldn't work that hard in the game to have it come down to a freaking rock. I'd sooner make a move and if it backfired, well at least I know it's because of my own doing and not chance. Enough of this game rests on luck and chance as it is. Dave's nonsense about lady luck being the biggest gamble was just that - nonsense. Play the game or get out. Also, Monica running up to Foa Foa all like "OMG YOU GUYS, VOTE FOR JOHN, I'M PUTTING MYSELF ON THE LINE HERE" was like a blinking neon sign saying "LYING!" I mean, really. I know they had approached Monica, but her reaction was so non-committal that it was clear she wasn't gonna flip. For her to do a complete 180 like that was super suspicious. And I'm sorry, but if I'm gonna bother playing with 4 other people, I'm gonna play with Foa Foa. Galu isn't so stupid that he can beat them - they're so stupid they're gonna cause him to lose. He can easily play the Russell card to the others in Foa Foa and they'd actually understand what he was saying. Same with the "all the Galu people on the jury hate me" card. And he always has the option to talk to Dave and Brett and keep that unit together, though who knows if they'd even get what he was talking about. He may have pissed off some Galu people, but by the same token, he may have won over Foa Foa votes if he wound up with another Galu member at the end. It's all hypothetical of course but nothing is certain ever.

Yeah, after Paschal got kicked in the nuts via stone ejection it was always fire. Yet in some seasons when discussing a close vote people would be like "but it's the stones! what if we have to pick them?". I guess this is the iron clad official way to do it now. Probably a good way to ward off ties and make the people play the game, just like John and Sham. Yea because in the Stones you instantly go from being safe for 3 days to having a chance to go home. Odds are someone will turn, like we have seen. Exactly. I thought Dave was an idiot last night being prepared to leave it to chance. John was right in everything he was saying. These guys are like Timbera from last season all over again, only twice as stupid. Who wants to play this game for almost a month, then leave it up to the pulling of a painted rock? IMO John made the wisest move of the game last night flipping sides. He wasn't going to chance it, he was saving his game and taking out one of the two strongest players to this point.

I actually think John is gonna be okay. Next weeks preview leaves be to believe people are gonna try to blindside russell. Russel seeking alies will probably turn to john to form a counter alliance since they don't have much allies. Rusell also knows that nobody will vote for him in the final 3 so he ll take him along

I don't really like Russell. BUT he's playing a great game. And if he makes it to the finals, if the jury votes based upon gameplay(like they did w/Bob...oh how I miss Bob, Lord of the Fake Idol), he'll win.

Yeah jurors can be weird. For example, how do you not vote for Colby in Australia? or Boston Rob over Amber?

For example, how do you not vote for Colby in Australia? or Boston Rob over Amber? It's like you found my two hot button examples heh. I hate that neither of them won. I don't know what it was with Colby, but he deserved to win by and large above Tina. Above anyone. He was the most well rounded player out there. And Boston Rob? That jury was embarrassing. He's the one who you're mad at. That means he's the one who PLAYED THE GAME.

You damn well know in the final 3 if you keep Rob and Amber together and you do not win the imunity idol, you are gone. Yes you are running the chance to go against Rupert in the Finals, but you have a better shot at the top 2 if you or Amber/Rob win the idol.

I would say, some people didn't win, because Survivor is a social game. Which is why Tina, the nice motherly figure won against, the although equally nice Colby, Tina made more friends and less enemies than Colby.
Which seems to me one reason Russell might not win this thing, and another more friendlier Foa Foa, like say, Natalie, might win this thing.

Sometimes in life you need to wear the white hat, and sometimes you have to wear the black hat.

At least she wasn't all bitter though, unlike basically the rest of them. I would say, some people didn't win, because Survivor is a social game. Which seems to me one reason Russell might not win this thing, and another more friendlier Foa Foa, like say, Natalie, might win this thing. It's interesting cause it all depends on the group. Sometimes you get juries who see the game as just that and don't take everything so to heart. Others are kind of petty. And then there's All-Stars.

I just started tonight's episode on the DVR. Can someone shut Monica up? I haven't been able to stand her since the beginning, and now she's this season's "aw shucks guys, we can't we play with integrity" token player.

Interesting move, but I think Jaison's right on Shambo. Think Russell's scrambling might catch up with him soon

I think that may have screwed Russell. I totally get why he needed John gone, but Jaison is dead on. Shambo may as well be a free agent again. I'm curious to see what it is next week that makes Mick question Russ, if that's even really what it ends up being. Again, those previews are as screwy as hell.
Wishing Russell the best. This was a risky move.

You forget it really doesn't matter what Russell does he's 2 steps ahead of everyone. Natallie will tell him everything and he has an Immunity Idol.
