I know that some of you are thinking that it's no big deal or some may even think their food sucks! But, as a child...I LOVED eating there. Their salad bar was always incredible!
Why is it a big deal for me? Because Sizzler hasn't been in my neck of the woods for over 2 decades. They closed down in the late 80's & became a crappy Chinese Buffet. But this weekend, we are going up north to Flagstaff, Arizona for a couple of days to play in the snow. AND THEY HAVE A SIZZLER!!!!
This trip just got that much better! And if we can get there early enough Friday, as we are leaving as soon as my daughter is out of school, I can have it for my birthday dinner!

Are you going to get a part-time job? It's a lifetime dream, you know.
Man, I am a huge nerd-on. This will the the 4th time I've mentioned Weird Al's song "Albuquerque" this week...

I just went last week to the Sizzler for the first time in about 25 years. I went a few times as a kid, but once I got older I wasn't into steak and potatoes.
Over the last year it's been on my mind to go and see if a 15 buck steak and lobster was worth it.
The result. Two thumbs up. There's no waiter so everything is ordered at the front, but I think it's been that way forever.
the steak was kinda small (6 oz.) and the lobster was farmed raised, but damn if I didn't enjoy the hell out of it. Steak cooked exactly how I ordered it, and the lobster was decent.
I think I might try the jumbo shrimp next time. Oh, yeah I'm going back.
Have fun Toomi.

I think it's because of absence making the appetite grow fonder!

Sizzler is decent. Haven't been there in years, though.

My favorite place to eat when I was a kid. Sounds good to check it out again. Know I've seen some around here somewhere.

Was the Salad bad all that I remember it to be (i.e. a place where a hot dog counted as a salad item)

Was the Salad bad all that I remember it to be (i.e. a place where a hot dog counted as a salad item) *sigh* They didn't have hot dogs...but they had onion rings, wings, a taco bar, meatballs, pasta, mashed potatoes, gravy, & fried potatoes...so, close enough to hot dogs!

Thanks!! I wear it to Sea World when I go cause the Sesame Street characters are there. And when I get a pic with them, they go crazy over the shirt. I loves my shirt!

you are soooo lucky. there is no Sizzler in my city. Nor in mine....I drove over 150 miles to that one. And the only reason we went there is because we went away for the weekend.
