Just noticed that the Seahawks play the Chiefs next season, so it's head coach Carroll vs. offensive coordinator Weis.

Jackson scares the hell out of me. If McNabb doesn't overthrow him early in the game last week, it's a completely different story I think. That was Philly's worst game and I fully expect them to make the necessary adjustments to keep it from being a repeat. They just seemed like, as a team, they made a bunch of stupid mistakes that are unlikely to happen again. At the very least it'll be a close game. It probably helps that I'm not personally invested but I wouldn't be scared of one long ball play. Granted the Giants made him look like a world beater but that's all the play calling fatty Reid does, even the Eagles fans make fun of it. They need to establish the run otherwise there won't be eight guys in the box and the pass coverage will be tight. Gawd I sound like Troy Aikman.

According to SI.com's Jim Trotter, Vikings defense coordinator Leslie Frazier is the clubhouse leader for the Bills head coaching job.

Former Bills interim coach Perry Fewell is reportedly "all but certain" to receive an offer to become the Bears' defensive coordinator when he interviews with the Bears Monday.
Ravens DE Trevor Pryce said he plans to play out the final season of his contract in 2010 and has not considered retirement.

Just look at how bad they were with the 'Painter' at QB. Also, this means the Favremaniacs won't be running wild at this announcement. ;D You can't really argue with the choice, though. Peyton once again had a great year. There is one guy at work that is going to be all pissy about Favre not getting the award. He was going off early this season about how Ted Thompson screwed Brett Favre. So in my best Vinnie Mac voice, I told him "Ted Thompson didn't screw Brett Favre. Brett Favre screwed Brett Favre." And it looks like I'll get to paraphrase that on Monday. And then he's really going to get pissed when I tell him that the year that there were co MVPs with Favre and Sanders, Sanders should have had it by himself, hands down. Not that it's necessarily the case, but I just love getting him pissed. If I tell him that on early break, he'll walk around pouting for a week. ;D

^Gotta love the Queen fans who hated a player for 15+ years then want to (Dennie Green) crown his ass as the king of galaxy. ;D
Screw em, Peyton was by far the best and most obvious player to win the award.

In the aftermath of the Seahawks hiring Pete Carroll, a person by the name of "Redskins Insider" cracked a joke on Twitter, saying "They should just call it the Rooney Suggestion". It's a crack on "The Rooney Rule", which states that an NFL franchise must interview at least one minority candidate before hiring a head coach. But what's more insulting to minorities? Interviewing a minority candidate that you have absolutely no interest in hiring, and you're only interviewing this person in order to appease a rule, or simply not interviewing the candidate at all? If Bill Belichick suddenly resigned tomorrow, and the Patriots had announced that they were going to hand the team to offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia, whats the purpose of calling up Raheem Morris for an interview, when you have absolutely no intentions of hiring him? Yeah, I understand the basis of the rule, but it really does set up a bad standard, and makes it look like NFL teams should basically give minority coaches pity interviews. Unless an owner explicitly says that he only plans on hiring white coaches because they're better, it shouldn't matter who is or isn't interviewed.

^There should be a Dennie Green 'crown their ass' award to coincide with the MVP award. ;D

^There should be a Dennie Green 'crown their ass' award to coincide with the MVP award. ;D If not, there should be a yearly wrestlecrap award to go with it ... Jackson scares the hell out of me. Here's one columnist's view on this weekend's games. Can't say as I agree with him on everything, but he makes some points. msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/Schrager-cheat-sheet-010610

This. Who would have expected it? Okay, here are my picks from earlier in the week. The Jets to beat the Bengals. The Eagles to beat The Cowboys. The Ravens to beat The Patriots. The Packers to beat The Cardinals. And I look at these picks and I wonder if I was drinking when I made them ...
